Prokopchuk Gets a Squeeze Through

Level 29 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Derek Sudell opened to 300,00 from middle position with AJ and Ihab Ali called from the hijack with 88. Mikhail Prokopchuk then three-bet AK from the big blind to 1,400,,000, which got Sudell to fold. Ali also let his hand go, and Prokopchuk took it down.

Shortly after. Sergio Veloso limped in from the small blind with Q8 and Kenny Hallaert checked his option in the big blind with 92.

Velose tapped the table on the J84 flop and then called a bet of 150,000 from Hallaert. A 6 on the turn saw both players check to the 4 river, where Veloso bet 350,000 with his eight. Hallaert snap-folded.

Michael Mizrachi in the big blind and Richard Buckingham from an early position tangled in a preflop all-in with nearly identical stack sizes and Mizrachi vaulted out of his chair while motioning to his nearby rail.

The suits were covered and Buckingham found no escape on the 97310J runout. Both stacks were counted and the 5.5 million of Buckingham were covered by only a few blinds.

Soon after, Dillon Ott pushed all in for around 3,100,000 and Mizrachi called in the next seat.

The pocket pair held and made a flush on the 76249 board to score the next knockout.

In the meanwhile, Kohei Arai raised to 300,000 and Leon Sturm three-bet to 750,000. Yong Han cold four-bet to 1,600,000 in the big blind for Arai to reluctantly fold. Sturm five-bet jammed and Han folded.

The river was the 9 and Padron bet another 2,000,000. Babko then moved all in, and Padron quickly called for 5,450,000.

Babko showed AA, but Padron had A9 for rivered trips as a devastated Babko buried his face on the rail while the massive pot was pushed over to Padron.

Power continued with a bet of 425,000 on the 524 flop, and Margets called.

The 9 rolled off on the turn and Power bet again, this time for 775,000. Margets mulled it over for a while before choosing to fold and forfeit the pot to Power.
