Rahul Deevara opened to 125,000 from under the gun and Giovanni Pupo three-bet to 360,000 from the next seat. Lautaro Guerra was next to act and three-bet jammed a stack of around 2,100,000.
The player in the next seat, Yong Han, took his time without realizing the action was on him. "Oh, it's on me?!" he said as he then quickly folded as each player behind him followed suit, including Deevara and Pupo.
Sebastian Schulze opened K♦K♣ from middle position and Mounir Tajiou called in the small blind holding A♠J♣. Seungmook Jung also called in the big blind with 9♣7♦.
They saw a flop of 6♣10♦J♠, which checked to Schulze. He threw out a bet of 270,000 with his overpair, and Tajiou called with top pair. Jung did have a gutshot, but didn't want to tangle and folded.
On the 4♠ turn, Tajiou check-called a bet of 960,000 to see the 5♠ hit the river. Again Tajiou checked, then Schulze unleashed a bet of 1,800,000. Tajou had 4,400,000 behind and needed a lot of time to think about it before he acted. Eventually, Tajiou did call and mucked when he saw the bad news.
Schulze's stack climbed to well over 15,000,000 after that hand.
Yaichi Fukao opened to 120,000 in early position and Hans Bosman three-bet to 330,000 in the hijack. Fukao four-bet shoved all in for 1,705,000 and Bosman asked for a count before sliding in chips to call.
Yaichi Fukao: A♥Q♣
Hans Bosman: K♠K♣
Bosman found himself in a commanding lead and the flop of Q♠4♦2♦ was not enough for Fukao to take the lead. The 10♣ on the turn and the 6♦ on the river was not enough to help Fukao survive.
Leo Margets raised to 120,000 from the cutoff with A♥7♦, and only Stephen Hesse called from the button holding 10♥9♦.
Margets flopped a pair of aces on the A♦2♥6♠ flop and chose to start out with a check. Hesse checked behind to see the 5♥ appear on the turn. Margets fired 150,000, forcing Hesse to lay his hand down.
John Petro raised it up to 120,000 from an early position and was called only by Min-Sung Lee in the big blind. Lee check-called the K♣10♣7♥ flop for 90,000 and the 10♠ turn was checked by both. On the J♥ river, Lee led for 295,000 and Petro paid it off after some consideration to then muck with some frustration to the A♣10♥ of Lee.
Brett Kennedy bet 250,000 from under the gun on a flop of 9♠6♠2♥ and Braxton Dunaway called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 7♠ turn before Dunaway led out for 450,000 on the Q♣ river. Kennedy called and Dunaway showed Q♠9♣ for two pair on the river. Kennedy slammed the table in frustration as Dunaway took the pot.
At the same time at another table, Sam Darkin had opened to 125,000 in middle position and Will Kassouf called in the cutoff.
Darkin checked the 10♣4♣7♠ flop. "No c-bet with that stack? I must have the best hand. Whatever this is, let the dealer count it," Kassouf said as he tossed in a pile of chips.
The dealer counted out a bet of 225,000, and Darkin called. The turn was the 8♦ and Darkin checked again.
"I don't even know what I'm doing. I got two hours sleep last night. Donk it off to find out where you're at, right? This is a stupid game," Kassouf added.
Tablemate Kohei Arai finally had enough and told Kassouf to think to himself. "I'm talking out loud to think to myself. If I take two minutes to think quietly, what's the difference?" Kassouf replied.
Another tablemate eventually called the clock before Kassouf led out for 500,000. Darkin quickly folded.
"Please and I show," Kassouf said to Darkin, who remained silent. "Manners go a long way," Kassouf finally said as he slid his cards back to the dealer.
Tomas Szwarcberg opened to 125,000 from the cutoff, prompting Kenny Hallaert to fold his button. Dmitrii Perfilev followed suit in the small blind before Joseph Henry defended his big blind.
Henry released his hand after Szwarcberg bet 115,000 on the 10♦5♦5♠ flop.
Chih Fan called from the small blind, and Bradley Jansen raised to 200,000 out of the big blind with A♥Q♠. Fan slid in the call.
The dealer spread out a flop of K♥3♣3♥, causing Fan to check. Jansen bet 180,000, and was met by a check-raise to 420,000 by Fan. Jansen quickly folded and surrendered the pot to Fan.
