Nick Pupillo raised to 550,000 in early position with the K♦J♦ and Luka Bojovic called in the cutoff with the K♥Q♥. Sergio Veloso then three-bet to 1,800,000 in the big blind with 10♠10♥.
Pupillo, almost completely covering his face with a scarf, took a minute before folding, but Bojovic called to see the K♠4♠2♥ flop.
Veloso then bet 400,000, and Bojovic called. Veloso slowed down and checked the 5♥ turn, and Bojovic put in 1,750,000, a bet representing more than half of his remaining stack.
Veloso paused for a moment before throwing his cards into the muck, and Bojovic took the pot.
Johan Schumacher opened to 500,000 from the hijack and Sebastian Schulze called from the big blind. The flop came 10♠7♥6♠ and Schulze checked to Schumacher who bet 750,000. Schulze check-raised to 2,400,000 and Schumacher ripped all in for 4,775,000 after a couple of minutes. Schulze quickly called and the cards were face up.
Johan Schumacher: J♠J♥
Sebastian Schulze: K♥10♣
Schulze flopped top pair but it was no match for the overpair of Schulze. The 4♠ and A♥ runout changed nothing and Schumacher held on for a key double up.
Muhamet Perati was involved in multiple pots over a short period of time.
First, Ihab Ali limped in from early position and Octavian Voegele called in the cutoff. Perati checked his option in the big blind.
On the 3♣J♣8♣ flop, Perati and Ali checked, then Voegele fired 500,000. Perati called and Ali folded.
Both checked the K♣ turn to the 2♠ river, where Perati bet 600,000. Voegele raised to 3,000,000, and within a minute, Perati called.
Voegele showed A♣9♥ for the nut flush to scoop the pot.
Not long after, John Wasnock made it 625,000 to go from early position and Perati three-bet the button to 1,700,000. Wasnock called.
The flop came Q♠6♦10♦ and both checked to the A♦ turn. Wasnock checked, Perati bet 1,200,000, and Wasnock folded.
Directly after that, Braxton Dunaway raised the hijack to 600,000 and Perati called in the cutoff.
Both saw the K♥9♥3♠ flop hit the felt where Dunaway check-called a bet of 1,000,000 from Perati.
The 6♠ turn checked through to the 7♣ river, where Dunaway bet 3,500,000. Perati took his time but eventually settled on a fold.
During the next shuffle, the players were trying to guess the age of Perati.
"I think 51. I'm basing that on how he plays poker," said Voegele.
Perati then admitted that he was 44, much to the surprise of Dunaway.
"You're 44?! You're almost the same age as me. What did you do to your hair?" joked Dunaway, in reference to the grey color (or lack of it) of Perati's hair. Perati laughed it off and continued in the next hand, still with a very comfortable stack.
Ruben Correia made it 500,000 to go from early position and Ramon Pessoa three-bet to 2,75,000 on the button, leaving himself 100,000 behind. Correia quickly shoved, and after having the clock called on him, Pessoa called.
Ramon Pessoa: 10♠10♣
Ruben Correia: A♥Q♥
"Give me a queen," shouted Correia.
Correia didn't flop a queen, but got something almost as good as the 7♥J♥7♠ board gave him a flush draw. The 8♥ on the turn completed that flush, which left Pessoa with just four outs to boat up. Instead, the A♦ river hit the felt, and Pessoa fell in 45th, missing the pay jump.
Joseph Ozimok raised it up from the cutoff and Ruben Correia defended from the big blind. The flop came A♠10♠5♥ and both players checked to the Q♣ on the turn.
Correia checked again and Ozimok splashed in a bet of 900,000. Correia meant to call but an extra T500,000 chip was stuck to his pile. He instantly tried to take it back and the floor supervisor allowed him to do so.
The Q♦ peeled off on the river and Correia checked one more time. Ozimok reached back for a bet of 2,900,000 and Correia mulled it over for a minute before flicking in a chip to call. Ozimok turned over 7♥7♦ but Correia held A♦3♦ for the better two pair.
"This is not Fortnite," Correia said while stacking his chips. "If you're going to bluff, it's gotta make sense."
Nick Pupillo raised to 550,000 in middle position and Eric Afriat called in the big blind.
Both players checked the 6♣6♦4♣ flop. Pupillo then bet 800,000 on the 9♦ turn and Afriat called.
The river was the A♣ and Afriat bet enough to put Pupillo all in. Pupillo had 4,375,000 remaining and, again with the sweater covering his face, went deep into the tank.
The clock was eventually called, the dealer advised to the floor that Pupillo didn't have enough time. Eventually, the floor gave Pupillo 30 seconds, and he allowed the countdown to nearly reach zero before announcing the call. Afriat could only show K♦8♦ for a bluff, while Pupillo turned over K♥9♥ for two pair to win the pot and double up.
Diego Ponce raised to 500,000 in early position, Chad Power three-bet to 1,500,000 in middle position with the A♦J♣, and Ponce called.
The Q♦J♥5♦ flop was checked through, and Ponce then bet 1,200,000 on the 8♦ turn. Power called.
The river was the 5♠ and Ponce bet 5,000,000. Power took a minute before calling, and Ponce turned over Q♣Q♥ for top set that improved to a full house on the river to take down the big pot.
Lautaro Guerra opened the action with a raise to 500,000 from middle position, and Michael Mizrachi was the only caller on the button.
The flop came Q♠Q♦2♥, and after Mizrachi led out for 550,000, Guerra responded with a check-raise to 1,600,000. Mizrachi gave it some thought and opted to call.
On the 10♣ turn, Guerra seized the initiative and fired again, this time for 3,000,000. Mizrachi looked tempted to continue, possibly weighing a call or a bold move of his own, but after a brief tank, he mucked his hand and gave up the pot.
Guerra’s aggression paid off as he claimed a sizable one.
