Margets Doubles Through Mizrachi

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Lautaro Guerra opened in the cutoff, and Leo Margets in the small blind called. Michael Mizrachi was the big blind and three-bet to 2,500,000, and Guerra quickly went out of the way. Margets then went all in for 6,050,000 and Mizrachi promptly called.

The flop came down 7♣K♦J♥, and despite Margets hitting a set, there were a few outs left to improve Mizrachi's hand.

But the 10♥ turn and the 9♦ river didn't change anything, and Margets got a full double-up with a healthy stack to stay in the tournament.

Stephen Hesse on the button raised it up to 625,000 and Luka Bojovic three-bet to 1,800,000 in the small blind. It folded back to Hesse and he four-bet to 3,150,000 before Bojovic five-bet jammed and earned the call from Hesse for an effective 8,875,000.

The Q♣J♥8♠ flop gave Bojovic a gutshot straight draw and he instead spiked the A♥ on the turn. Hesse now needed the case king to double or one of the four tens in the deck to chop. Neither came with the 5♥ river and his tournament run ended in 39th place for $240,000.

Juan Carlos Vecino raised to 600,000 in middle position, Stefan Nemetz moved all in from the big blind, and Vecino snap-called.

Vecino remained in the lead with his jacks on the 9♣8♥7♣ flop, but Nemetz hit the K♣ on the turn to make a pair of kings. The A♦ river improved Nemetz to two pair as he secured the pot.

The stacks were counted down and Vecino had 4,600,000 remaining. Nemetz had him covered by just 600,000, and Vecino made his exit in 38th place.

Action folded to Paul Gibbons in the hijack who shoved his remaining 3,500,000 in the middle. Next to him sat Leo Margets in the cutoff and she made the call, with no other player wanting to join.

When the flop came down 6♦9♥A♣ and Gibbons saw the ace giving Margets the better pair he smashed a chip on the table and it fell on the floor.

The 5♣ turn and the 9♦ offered no help for Gibbons and he was sent to the rail.

Milhomem Fills Up in the Battle of Brazil

In a limped pot between the two Brazilians at the table, Pedro Padilha led out for 300,000 on the K♠10♣3♦ flop and Murilo Milhomem called.

Padilha checked the 6♣ turn and Milhomem bet 900,000. Padilha called to see the 6♠ river, where Milhomem bet 2,800,000.

Padilha tanked for several minutes into the dinner break before calling with A♣2♣, but Milhomem had K♦6♦ for a full house to win the pot

Not long back from dinner break, Braxton Dunaway made it 800,000 to go in early position and Nazar Buhaiov three-bet the cutoff to 2,400,000. When it got back to Dunaway, he called.

On the 4♦2♣3♦ flop, Dunaway check-called a bet of 1,200,000 from Buhaiov to see the 5♠ fall on the turn, where both checked.

A Q♥ hit the river and Dunaway checked again, then Buhaiov bet 3,000,000. Dunaway snap-called.

Both players had a wheel as Dunaway showed A♠Q♠ and Buhaiov flipped A♣9♥.

"I just wanted to see what you three-bet me with," said Dunaway. "Light!" he added.

"I'm living rent free up in that head of yours. I want my fellow patrons to see how light he three-bets me," Dunaway finished with.

Kassouf Gets Another Penalty

Will Kassouf was having another heated discussion with tournament director Dennis Jones. "Alright, I'm all in," he said as he shoved for his last 3,500,000 in early position, going right back to arguing. The rest of the table folded and Kassouf showed A♠J♦.

"You call the clock on me after 30 seconds. I let the rest of you play an 11-minute hand. I don't call the clock once, because I'm not a little bitch like the rest of you," Kassouf told his tablemates. That comment made Jones hand him another one-round penalty, threatening to make it two rounds if he continued.

"Enjoy your one round. When I come back, you're all finished. God bless America," Kassouf shouted as he was escorted by security away from the table.

In the meantime, Adam Hendrix had opened to 800,000 in middle position with K♠J♦ and Kenny Hallaert called in the small blind.

Hendrix bet 800,000 on the J♥7♠3♣ flop and Hallaert called. Hendrix then bet 3,000,000 on the 2♥ turn, and Hallaert quickly folded K♦Q♣.

Will Kassouf was in the big blind and still serving his penalty as action folded around to Kenny Hallaert who moved all in from the button. Giovanni Pupo took a few minutes before calling for his last 4,850,000 in the small blind.

Pupo desperately needed to come from behind to survive, while Hallaert seemed utterly unconcerned and went along eating his dinner.

The 4♣3♠3♦ flop left open the possibility of a chop, while the turn was the 3♣. The A♠ river meant both players were playing the trip threes with ace-king kicker, and they chopped the pot.
