Guerra Fires Big to Force Fold from Mizrachi

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Lautaro Guerra
Lautaro Guerra

Lautaro Guerra opened the action with a raise to 500,000 from middle position, and Michael Mizrachi was the only caller on the button.

The flop came QQ2, and after Mizrachi led out for 550,000, Guerra responded with a check-raise to 1,600,000. Mizrachi gave it some thought and opted to call.

On the 10 turn, Guerra seized the initiative and fired again, this time for 3,000,000. Mizrachi looked tempted to continue, possibly weighing a call or a bold move of his own, but after a brief tank, he mucked his hand and gave up the pot.

Guerra’s aggression paid off as he claimed a sizable one.

Richard Freitas
Richard Freitas

Richard Freitas raised to 500,000 in the hijack and Nick Pupillo called in the big blind.

The flop came 742 and Freitas bet 350,000. Pupillo then raised to 1,200,000 and Freitas called.

Both players checked the 10 turn. Pupillo then bet 2,500,000 on the 5 river and Freitas went into the tank for more than a minute before calling.

Pupillo showed K10 for top pair, but Freitas turned over AA and took the pot.

Hendrix Springs a Trap

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

Joey Padron opened to 500,000 from early position. Johan Schumacher and Adam Hendrix called from middle position and the cutoff respectively before Sebastian Schulze defended his big blind.

The action checked to Schumacher on the 732 flop, and he bet 600,000. Hendrix called, Schulze folded and Padron also stuck around.

The K turn then checked through to the 5 river. Padron led out for 1,600,000 and Schumacher called. Hendrix then made it 5,700,000, which prompted a quick fold from Padron. Schumacher mulled over his options for some time before putting in calling chips.

Hendrix tabled 33 for a set of threes, and Schumacher mucked.

Buhaiov Gets Aces

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Nazar Buhaiov
Nazar Buhaiov

Nazar Buhaiov opened from middle position and Braxton Dunaway peeled out of the small blind.

Both players put in 500,000 on the K45 flop and Dunaway led out for 1,300,000 on the 2 turn. Buhaiov called.

When the 7 hit the river, Dunaway asked his opponent how much he had behind, and got an answer of around 8,000,000. Armed with that information, Dunaway bet 3,200,000. Buhaiov snap-called and flipped over AA for a pair of aces, and Dunaway's hand went into the muck.

Mikhail Prokopchuk Eliminated in 44th Place ($240,000)

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Mikhail Prokopchuck
Mikhail Prokopchuck

Johan Schumacher opened to 500,000 in early position and Maksim Pisarenko just flat-called on his left. Mikhail Prokopchuk ripped all in for 4,550,000 in the small blind and Joey Padron cold-called in the big blind. Schumacher quickly folded but Pisarenko went into the tank for over three minutes before calling as well.

It was heads-up on a dry side pot and the flop of AA4 was checked around. The 5 hit the turn and both players checked to the A on the river. Padron threw in a bet of 2,000,000 and Pisarenko snapped him off.

All three hands were tabled with Padron turning over 1010. Pisarenko held KK to claim the side pot and Prokopchuk was left with JJ which saw him hit the rail in 44th place.

Margets Keeps the Pressure On and Scoops Another

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante
Leo Margets
Leo Margets

Leo Margets had already built momentum by three-betting and shoving preflop in previous hands, without getting called. And she stayed on the offensive in this one. After Paul Gibbons opened from early position, Margets three-bet to 1,125,000. Gibbons made the call, and they went to the flop.

The board ran out Q1048J with neither player putting chips in until the river. After checking all the way down, Gibbons checked one last time on the river, but Margets seized the opportunity and put out a bet of 1,700,000.

Gibbons quickly folded, and once again, Margets dragged the pot without ever having to table a hand.

Hallaert Jams Into Milhomem

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Murilo Milhomem made it 550,000 in the hijack with the A9 and Kenny Hallaert called on the button with the 1010, while Will Kassouf in the big blind gave it some thought and folded his 65.

The A85 flop was checked through to the 10 turn, and Milhomem bet 950,000. Hallaert raised to 3,100,000 with all other players having already left for the second break of the day. Deep in the tank, Milhomem made the call, and the pot increased to 7,900,000 prior to the Q on the river.

While the rest of the Main Event players were already enjoying their break, Milhomem checked, and Hallaert pulled the trigger with a shove for 5,850,000 effective. The Brazilian took a sip from his water bottle and started carefully counting his stack before he folded to concede the pot.
