The Kassouf Show Will Go A Little Longer

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Will Kassouf
Will Kassouf

Michael Garner moved all in from middle position as the table folded around to Will Kassouf in the big blind who (uncharacteristically) snap-called for 2,550,000.

Will Kassouf: AK All in
Michael Garner: 77

Kassouf needed to survive the coin flip to stay alive, and he found an ace on the AJ5 flop to take the lead. The turn was the 5, while Kassouf ended up with two pair on the K river to earn the double up and knock Garner down to an extreme short stack.

"If I have a Red Bull or coffee, in half an hour this table is finished," Kassouf said as he called out for cocktails.

Michael Garner Eliminated in 41st Place ($240,000)

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Michael Garner
Michael Garner

A hand after Will Kassouf doubled up, Michael Garner shoved for his last 1,000,000 from early position after Pedro Padilha had opened to 600,000 under the gun. Kenny Hallaert then reraised to 2,000,000 in the cutoff, and Padilha folded.

Michael Garner: 88 All in
Kenny Hallaert: QQ

Garner was crushed by Hallaert's queens, and he found no help on the J937J board as he was sent to the rail in 41st place.

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Stephen Hesse
Stephen Hesse

Stephen Hesse made it 625,000 to go with the 99 and was called by Sergio Veloso with KQ as well as Diego Ponce holding the 22. The 1074 flop was checked by Ponce and Hesse continued for 700,000 to pick up a call by Veloso only. Both checked the 4 turn and Hesse checked the A on the river. Veloso now bet 1,200,000 and Hesse tank-called to get shown the king-high with missed flush draw, earning the pot with his pair of nines.

Arai Keeps Building

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Action folded to Kohei Arai in the hijack, and he opened to 600,000 with 74. Michael Mizrachi defended his big blind with Q9, and the two went heads-up to a flop of Q106.

Mizrachi checked, and Arai continued for 500,000. Mizrachi called to see the 8 on the turn, where he checked once again.

Arai upped the pressure with a bet of 2,200,000, and Mizrachi stuck around.

The A river completed the board, and Arai didn’t back down. He fired a sizeable 5,200,000 bet into the middle, sending Mizrachi deep into the tank. After some thought, tossed his cards into the muck, and Arai raked in another pot.

Diego Ponce

First to act, Luka Bojovic raised to 600,000 with the K9 and he was called by Diego Ponce with K10 and Stephen Hesse holding the J9 with the latter two in the blinds. The 432 flop was checked to the 7 turn on which the action checked to Ponce. He bet 1,500,000 and Hesse folded. After some consideration, Bojovic followed suit and Ponce won the pot.

Murilo Milhomem
Murilo Milhomem

Tomas Szwarcberg raised to 650,000 under the gun with KJ and Will Kassouf called in the hijack holding A10. Murilo Milhomem then moved all in for 4,550,000 in the small blind with, and Juan Carlos Vecino reraised to 5,400,000 in the big blind.

"Big pot on Table #2," Kassouf said as Szwarcberg got out of the way. Kassouf also folded, leaving Milhomem and Vecino heads-up with Vecino also having most of his stack in the middle.

Murilo Milhomem: 1010 All in
Juan Carlos Vecino: AK

Milhomem ran over to his rail to await the board, and he came out on the right side of the coin flip as the dealer spread out Q42Q4 to give him the double up and knock Vecino down to a short stack.

Freitas Cannot Shake Off Bojovic

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Richard Freitas made it 600,000 to go from under the gun and Luka Bojovic called in the big blind with K10. The 987 flop was checked by Bojovic, who then called Freitas' bet of 400,000. Following the 9 turn, Bojovic led for 600,000 and Freitas raised small to 1,600,000 to pick up a call from Bojovic.

That brought them to the 10 river and they now checked. Bojovic showed his 65 for the bottom end of the straight and it was good to win the pot.

Chop Pot Keeps Gibbons in the Tournament

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Paul Gibbons
Paul Gibbons

Paul Gibbons was sitting in an early position when he decided to shove his last 2,350,000 in the middle. Action folded to Daniel Iachan in the cutoff, and he made the call. Nobody else wanted to join the party, and the card went on their backs.

Paul Gibbons: AJAll in
Daniel Iachan: AJ

With both having the same hand, it was a predictable outcome, and as the board ran out 784810, not without giving Gibbons a little bummer on the flop with two spades. But the pot was chopped, and Gibbons could stay in the tournament.
