Both players checked to the river on a board of 1092J3. Veloso then led out for 3,900,000 with his pair of jacks and Nemetz folded as Veloso took down his third pot in the early stages of Day 8.

Szwarcberg Triples, Padron Folds the Best

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Tomas Szwarcberg
Tomas Szwarcberg

Tomas Szwarcberg ripped all in for 5,400,000 from middle position and Joey Padron reraised to 11,000,000 in the cutoff. Richard Freitas four-bet shoved all in for 29,600,000 in the big blind and Padron went into the tank for a couple of minutes before laying down 1010.

Tomas Szwarcberg: 66All in
Richard Freitas: AK

It turned out to be a coin flip between the remaining two players and the flop of Q77 left Szwarcberg in the lead with his pair of sixes. The 3 on the turn and the 8 on the river changed nothing and Szwarcberg was kept alive with a triple up thanks to Padron's laydown.

A Shot of Padron

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Joey Padron opened to 1,200,000 in middle position with AK and Richard Freitas three-bet to 3,000,000 on the button with KJ. Padron just called and the dealer fanned the flop of AJ8.

Both players flopped a pair but it was Padron ahead with the better of the two. He checked it over to Freitas who tossed in a bet of 1,200,000. Padron quickly called and the 3 landed on the turn.

That slowed the action as both players checked to the 10 on the river. Two more checks and Padron turned over the best hand to put another dent in Freitas.

Pisarenko Raises Veloso on the River

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Sergio Veloso raised to 1,200,000 on the button and Maksim Pisarenko defended J10 in the big blind.

The flop came AQ4 and Veloso bet 600,000. Pisarenko called and they both checked the 2 turn.

The K river improved Pisarenko to a straight and he checked over to Veloso who bet 3,000,000. Pisarenko then check-raised to 8,500,000, sending Veloso deep into the tank. He took a few minutes before tossing away A3, and Pisarenko took down the pot.

No Flops to be Seen

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

The action folded all the way to Daehyung Lee in the small blind, and he moved all in against the big blind of Michael Mizrachi. The shove was for an effective 4,900,000, and Mizrachi folded.

One hand later, Mizrachi pushed all in from the small blind, and Lautaro Guerra forfeited the big blind.

John Wasnock then opened to 1,300,000 and folded when Guerra jammed his shorter stack.

Daniel Iachan J10 made it 1,200,000 first to act, and Braxton Dunaway Q9 three-bet to 3,100,000. It folded back to Iachan, who reluctantly folded.

Hendrix Makes Broadway to Crack Freitas' Set

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

Richard Freitas raised to 1,200,000 in the hijack with JJ and Adam Hendrix just called with AQ in the cutoff. They went heads-up to an action flop of AKJ where Freitas started with a check. Hendrix checked it back and the 10 peeled off on the turn.

Freitas checked again and Hendrix tossed in a bet of 1,300,000 after improving to a straight. Freitas called and the 6 bricked out on the river. Freitas checked one more time and Hendrix reached back for a large bet of 4,800,000. Freitas deliberated for a couple of minutes and then looked him up, only to see the bad news that his flopped set was beat on the turn.
