Pisarenko Takes From Gregg

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Tony Gregg limped in the small blind and Maksim Pisarenko checked to the K107 flop. Gregg bet 1,000,000 and Pisarenko called to the 4 turn.

Gregg then bet 3,000,000 and Pisarenko called to see the board pair on the 10 river. Gregg slowed down and checked, and Pisarenko took a minute before betting 3,200,000. Gregg took an equally long time to fold and dropped to the shortest stack at the table once more.

Could Have Been Worse for Ozimok

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Joey Padron raised to 1,600,000 with QQ in the hijack and Joseph Ozimok three-bet to 6,500,000 in the small blind with AA. Padron just called and the dealer fanned the flop of QJ9 giving him a set of queens.

Ozimok started with a check and Padron dropped in a bet of 7,500,000. Ozimok called and the 8 rolled off on the turn. Both players checked and the 6 completed the board. Ozimok checked one more time and Padron slid out a bet of 10,000,000. Ozimok mulled it over for a couple of minutes but eventually found the correct laydown.

"It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Michael Mizrachi is best known as ‘The Grinder,’ but Rocky may well be just as fitting after staging a remarkable comeback from near elimination during a stunning session of poker on Day 8 of the WSOP Main Event.

Ozimok and Iachan Trade Positions

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Daniel Iachan
Daniel Iachan

The action folded around to Joseph Ozimok in the small blind who ripped all in as the covering stack. Daniel Iachan was in the big blind and eyed the tournament clock. After a couple of minutes, Iachan called off his stack of 9,400,000 and the cards were face up.

Daniel Iachan: Q9All in
Joseph Ozimok: K10

The flop of A63 connected with neither player, leaving Ozimok's king-high in the lead. However, the Q on the turn sent Iachan out front with a pair of queens and the Q on the river secured his double up.

Lee Doubles Through Padron

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Ruben Correia opened to 1,600,000 in middle position with AQ and John Wasnock three-bet to 4,200,000 in the cutoff with 54. Lautaro Guerra four-bet shoved all in for 13,600,000 with AQ which got both Correia and Wasnock to fold.

On the next hand, Correia raised to 1,600,000 again with A10. Joey Padron three-bet to 4,200,000 in the cutoff and Daehyung Lee four-bet ripped all in for 12,300,000 in the big blind. Correia folded again but Padron flicked in the chip to call.

Daehyung Lee: KKAll in
Joey Padron: 99

The flop came AK5 which ruined all sweat possibilities with Lee making a set of kings. The 7 on the turn left Padron drawing dead to the 5 on the river.

Just Two Flops to Go With

Level 36 : Blinds 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Michael Mizrachi raised to 1,700,000 in the hijack and Leo Margets called in the big blind. On the 996 flop, Margets checked and then folded when Mizrachi bet.

Sergio Veloso then opened to 1,600,000 from an early position with A3 and Braxton Dunaway defended his big blind to the 832 flop. The check by the chip leader triggered a bet of 2,400,000, and that won the pot for Veloso as Dunaway folded A6.

Maksim Pisarenko then opened to 1,700,000 with A9 and Leo Margets on the button three-bet to 4,000,000 holding AJ. The action folded back to Pisarenko and he carefully checked his stack before reluctantly folding.
