Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2025 World Series of Poker, bringing you live updates from every bracelet event.

Today marks the start of Event #94: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship, a tournament that always brings out the best in the business to the WSOP-branded tables. Cards are in the air from 2 p.m. local time.

Day 1 players sit down armed with 60,000 chips and play ten hour-long levels. Play is punctuated by 15-minute breaks every two levels, although there is no dinner break.

Those who navigate through to Day 2, which starts at 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, will play another ten levels, enjoy 15-minute breaks every two levels, and fill their bellies during a 60-minute dinner break after Level 16 (around 7:30 p.m. local time). Monday, July 14, is the third and final day of play. Its start time will be decided in due course.

Michael Rocco is this event's reigning champion. Rocco left 501 opponents in his wake as he collected $924,922 and the first bracelet of his career. Rocco defeated Frenchman Alexandre Reard heads up for the title, and revealed to PokerNews in his post-victory interview that he'd been putting in plenty of work behind the scenes in his quest to win poker gold.

"I woke up at four in the morning for 98 days straight and studied for six hours daily. I feel like it helped me at this tournament. I was quite short most of the time. I think I would have played a few hands differently had I not studied. It ended up working out."
