Konnikova Takes from Kanchi

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Maria Konnikova opened to 500 from the hijack and Ranganath Kanchi three-bet to 1,800 from the button. Konnikova called.

The flop came A78. Konnikova checked and Kanchi continued for 1,500. Konnikova check-raised to 4,500 and Kanchi called.

Konnikova bet 11,000 on the K turn and Kanchi mucked his hand.

Drumond Sneaks Some Value

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Breno Drumond raised to 500 in the cutoff and was immediately met by a three-bet. Shundan Xiao, one seat to his left on the button raised to 1,700, and when action returned to Drumond, he called.

Both players then checked down to the river on a Q685 board, before the dealer added the 2 river.

Drumond flicked in a bet of 1,000, which Xiao quickly called. Drumond showed his 99, and Xiao mucked her cards.

Alt Folds Out Simao

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Joao Simao raised to 600 in the button, which led to a raise by Dinesh Alt raised to 2,700. Simao called to send them to a flop.

Alt fired 2,000 on the flop of K96. Simao chose to call.

The 10 turn did not deter Alt, who put out a bet of 7,000. Simao had enough and yielded the pot to Alt with a fold.

Albrinck Gets a Fold from Ketzer

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With two players seeing a board of Q27 and 1,400 in the middle Felipe Ketzer cehcekd from the big blind and Bradford Albrinck bet 500 from the button. Ketzer check-raised to 2,200 and Albrinck called.

Ketzer checked again on the Q turn and Albrinck bet 3,100. This time Ketzer opted to fold, concedinng the pot to Albrinck.

Kanchi Finds a River Three-Bet

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Ranganath Kanchi kicked the action off with a raise in the cutoff to 600. Jamie O'Connor three-bet on the button to 2,000, and only Kanchi called.

Both players checked on the monotone 423 flop, prompting Kanchi to take over the betting lead on the 10 turn with a bet of 2,500. O'Connor made the call, and the dealer added the 7 river to the board.

Kanchi continued with a bet of 3,000, and O'Connor responded with a raise to 8,500. Kanchi then responded with a raise of his own, a three-bet to 20,000.

A frustrated-looking O'Connor flashed his JJ before folding.

Straight for Whittinghill

There was over 2500 in the pot on the board that read 7A69 when John Pointer elected to bet 3,000 from the cutoff and was check-raised by Jeffrey Whittinghill to 7,500 from the small blind position. Pointer opted to call to send them to a river.

Whittinghill did not slow down on the J river, and bet 10,000. Pointer went into the tank and assessed his opponent and the board before he decided to put in two red chips for the call.

Whittinghill showed 108 for a straight as Pointer mucked his hand.

Lindgren Takes Early Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Erick Lindgren opened to 600 from the button and received calls from John Pointer in the small blind and Aram Zobian in the big blind.

The flop came 963. Pointer checked, Zobian checked, Lindgren bet 1,200 and both opponents called.

Lindgren continued for 3,500 when checked to on the K turn and this time both opponents opted to fold.

Heads Up

Barak Wisbrod and Yiannis Liperis are playing heads up on their table at the moment. There are two other stacks in play belonging to players who are yet to take their seats.

Wisbrod raised to 600 from the cutoff, with the player on the button absent. Liperis then called from the small blind, with the player from the big blind also absent.

The dealer spread a QKK flop, and Liperis check-called a bet of 300. Both players then checked on the 4 turn, before Liperis led out for 600 on the 6 river.

Wisbrod quickly folded, and Liperis took a little from him, as well as the dormant blinds.
