Blom Holds On For a Double

With two players seeing a board of 436 and 11,100 in the middle, David Kaufmann bet 3,700 from the cutoff and Viktor Blom raised to 11,800 from the button. Kaufmann three-bet to 23,000 and Blom shoved for 52,000. Kaufmann snap-called to put Blom at risk.

Blom was ahead with two pair but only had a slight lead over Kaufmann's combo draw. Kaufmann bricked out o nthe Q8 runout and Blom doubled up at his expense.

Morita Shows the Nuts

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Shojiro Morita raised to 1,100 from under the gun, which led to a call from Arsenii Karmatckii on the button.

Morita bet 1,500 the flop fanned out 6KA. Karmatchkii responded with a raise to 4,200. Morita called to send them to a turn.

The J turn led to a bet of 3,500 from Morita. Karmatchkii chose to play for it all and jammed for approximately 21,000.

"I have the nuts," Morita said as he called to put Karmatchkii at risk.

The turn was a welcome sight for Morita, who spiked the nut straight, but Karmatchkii did have some outs to a full house to stay alive.

The 2 river was not what Karmatchkii hoped for as he was eliminated from contention.

Christoph Vogelsang had raised to 9,000 from the cutoff over some previous action and Armin Rezaei called from the button.

The flop came 1057. Vogelsang bet 3,500 and Rezaei called.

Both players checked the 9 turn leading to the 4 river. Vogelsang shoved, covering Rezaei who had just over 20,000 left.

Rezaei called and showed 99, having turned a set before the river left him playing just the flush on the board. Vogelsang had J8 for a straight flush to send Rezaei to the rail.

Bet and Take it for Yaroshevskyy

It was a small skirmish of the blinds when Igor Yaroshevskyy raised to 2,000 from the small blind, which led to a call from Felipe Ketzer from the big blind.

A round of checks occurred when the flop came 696.

The J turn resulted in a bet of 1,600 from Yaroshevskyy. Ketzer gave it a moment's thought before he folded.

The river 8 joined the board, but by that point, Plante was already on his way to the exit.

Yankov Bests Pointer

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Krasimir Yankov raised from under the gun to 1,200 and was called by Thomas Boivin on the button. John Pointer wanted to play a bigger pot from the big blind and raised it to 7,200. This led to a call from Yankov and a fold from Boivin.

Pointer opted to bet 5,000 on the 669 flop, and Yankov came along with a call to send them to a turn.

The 4 turn did not slow Pointer down, as he bet 12,000 on this street and was once again called by Yankov.

Pointer chose to go all-in and put Yankov at risk when the 5 hit the river. Yankov wasted no time calling for 21,800.

Pointer showed JJ, but Yankov revealed that he pulled the rug from underneath Pointer on the turn when he showed 44 for a full house.
