Lindgren's Ladies Show Pais the Exit

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren

In the final hand dealt of the previous level, Mauricio Pais raised from under the gun to 8,000, before John Juanda three-bet from the button to 20,000. Erick Lindgren then put in a cold four-bet from the small blind to 52,000.

Action was back on Pais, whose total stack was 44,000. After spending two or three minutes deciding what to do, he moved his chips into the middle.

Juanda folded what he would later tell the table was ace-jack.

Mauricio Pais: 1010 All in
Erick Lindgren: QQ

There was no help for Pais on the A2253 runout, sending Pais to the exit, and his stack over to Lindgren.

Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

Mike Matusow has continued his strong start from Day 1. Matusow raised to 12,000 from the small blind before Brian Luo jammed from the big blind for 95,000. Matusow snap called to put Luo at risk.

Brian Luo: AJAll in
Mike Matusow: AA

Matusow had Luo in a world of trouble in the battle of the blinds. The runout of Q33A9 did not disrupt that, as Matusow has built a stack of over 650,000 so far on Day 2.

Set Up Alert

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren

Brandon Sheils raised on the button to 12,000 and saw immediate resistance from John Juanda in the small blind. Juanda moved all in for 141,000 before Erick Lindgren, in the big blind, followed suit, moving all in covering both players from the big blind.

Sheils asked for a count of the stacks before realising his own stack of roughly 150,000 was covered by Lindgren. Nevertheless, he flicked in a call, and the three players flipped their cards over.

John Juanda: 1010 All in
Brandon Sheils: JJ All in
Erick Lindgren: QQ

A dream spot for Lindgren just a few hands after the break.

The dealer burned and turned three, revealing a 828 flop, keeping Lindgren in the lead.

The turn 3 and river K didn't change the outcome, and Lindgren sent two players to the rail at the same time.
