"It ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done!"

Michael Mizrachi is best known as ‘The Grinder,’ but Rocky may well be just as fitting after staging a remarkable comeback from near elimination during a stunning session of poker on Day 8 of the WSOP Main Event.

Eriquezzo Folds a Full House

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ryan Eriquezzo opened to 7,000 in middle position and got a three-bet to 17,000 from Tom Thomas in late position. With action back to him, Eriquezzo checked what Thomas had behind, then made the call.

Both players saw a flop of 10QQ. Eriquezzo check-called Thomas' bet of 11,000. On the turn 10, the same thing happened with Eriquezzo calling 25,000 from Thomas this time.

On the river 2 and after another check, Thomas put maximum pressure with an all-in shove for 59,100, sending Eriquezzo to the tank.

Eriquezzo was so uncertain what to do he separated the chips for call, put them back and separated them once again. He finally folded his hand face up to show 109 for a full house.

Thomas showed 99 then scooped the pot.

Chad Massie: AA All in
Orly Oren: JJ

Massie was looking at a potential triple up with his aces. The runout Q7 didn't imporve Oren's hand securing Massie's chip stack boost.

Quads for Wheeler

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

Action was picked up with Jesse Rivera and Jason Wheeler in an all-in showdown.

Jason Wheeler: KK All in
Jesse Rivera: AA

It was a classic aces versus kings with Rivera ahead. The flop came 7K3 giving Wheeler a set cracking Rivera's aces. The turn rubbed it in when it dropped K improving Wheeler to quads and evoking a groan of shock from the table, especially Rivera. The inconsequential river 3 completed the board.

"Please Report That I Had Aces"

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Sergey Brit moved all in from the early position for 23,800, Kazuhiro Shirasawa called from late position, and Phovieng Keokham called from the button. The flop came out with 95K, Shirasawa checked, and Keokham moved all in for 22,400. Shirasawa folded.

Sergey Brit: A10 All in
Phovieng Keokham: 55

Brit would need a lot of help which did not come with the turn 2, and the river 4 and a set of fives for Keokham would win the pot.

Keokham requested, "Please report that I had aces".
