Yang Doubles Up

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Kai Yang
Kai Yang

With 23,500 in the pot, four players saw the flop of Q65. Cary Katz and Bin Duan checked before Kai Yang bet the pot from the hijack. Paul Gunness called, which prompted Katz and Duan to get out of the way.

Yang thought Gunness had raised, so Yang ended up putting in his 34,700 total, and Gunness called.

Kai Yang: KQQ3 All in
Paul Gunness: AKK3

Yang was ahead with top set, but the 7 turn gave Gunness a flush draw. The 6 river may have completed Gunness' flush, but Yang improved to a boat to win the pot and double-up.

Ladines Cracks Aces... With Aces

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Eran Carmi got it all in, and shortstacked preflop, attempting to crack the aces of opponent Joshua Ladines whilst holding them himself.

Eran Carmi: AAJ5 All in
Joshua Ladines: AA87

The 95J flop seemed sent by the poker Gods for a max sweat, as Carmi's aces now didn't even play considering his two pair. Ladines picked up a diamond draw, as well as a gutshot, which he hit on the 10 turn leaving Carmi with just four outs. The 9 river sealed his fate, as he hit the rail.
