Fernando Gutierrez

Mo Nuwwarah and Fernando Gutierrez both put in 7,400 preflop before seeing the dealer spread out a flop of 8107. Nuwwarah potted it, and Gutierrez jammed for 17,300. Nuwwarah called for the extra few thousand.

Fernando Gutierrez: 10965 All in
Mo Nuwwarah: AQJ4

Gutierrez flopped the nut straight and just needed to fade an unfortunate runout to double. The 5 turn and 10 river were safe for Gutierrez, and he doubled up through Nuwwarah.

Georgios Tsoupras defended his big blind to a raise from Robert Emmerson out of the cutoff. The two players saw the 10A3 flop come down. Tsoupras checked and then called after Emmerson bet 1,600.

Both players were happy to check down the 8 turn and 9 river. Tsoupras tabled AJ3Xx for two pair, aces and treys, prompting Emmerson to muck.

With around 8,500 in the pot preflop, Erik Seidel and Samuel Auer-Klintmalm headed to a flop of AQ5. Seidel checked from the cutoff, allowing Auer-Klintmalm to fire 3,800 into the middle. Seidel tossed in the call.

The 6 rolled off on the turn, and Seidel knuckled the table for a second time. Auer-Klintmalm tossed out a bet of 10,000, which was enough to get Seidel to fold.

Chang Makes Correct Laydown.

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Lawrence Chang faced a crucial decision for his tournament life, after betting out for 10,000 into 22,000 under the gun and being raised all in by Spencer Simpson on his direct left. With the board reading 910KQ4 he went deep into the tank. He counted out his chips, before picking his cards up and sending them back to the dealer.

Simpson showed him AJ6 for the turned nuts. He claimed he had also picked up a heart redraw.

Action was picked up as three players saw a flop of 88Q with 3,000 in the middle. Tarun Goyal checked from the small blind, Hayden Le did the same from the big blind, as did Philip Sternheimer from the hijack.

Le then bet out for 800 when checked to on the 8 turn, and only Goyal called. The 3 river checked through, and Goyal sheepishly announced "full house" with 22. Le showed KxKx5x5x to take the pot.
