Holley Gets Flushed Out of the Tournament

With the flop showing 7♣6♠10♠ and with around 10,000 in the middle, Christopher Ginley bet 5,000 from the big blind, and Aaron Huniu raised to 15,000 from the hijack. John Holley jammed for 37,500 from the cutoff, which only Huniu called.

Aaron Huniu: A♠Q♠10♦2♥

Holley had top set and needed to fade a spade on the turn or river to double. The J♣ turn gave Huniu a straight draw, and the 4♠ river improved him to a flush, eliminating Holley from the tournament.

Eli Karp potted under the gun, before Pei Li in the cutoff repotted it. Quan Tran flatted Li's three-bet, and Karp called all in for his tournament life. On a flop of 3♥2♦K♦ Tran check-folded to a bet of 5,000 from Li.

Karp was in need of a lot of help, but seemed to take some inspiration off Michael Mizrachi as he hit a running flush on J♥5♥ to stay alive, while Tran took in the side pot.

Nirath Rean bet 4,000 from the cutoff on the A♣7♦10♥ flop. Ricardo Alvarado called from the small blind, and Matt O'Donnell called from the hijack.

After it checked to Rean on the 5♠ turn, he bet 9,000, and Alvardo responded with a check-raise to 44,700. O'Donnell immediately folded, and Rean went into the tank. After thinking for over three minutes, Rean called for his 37,000 total.

Rean was ahead with a set against the top two pair of Alvarado. The 9♥ river didn't change anything, and Rean doubled up.

Five players saw the flop come down 8♠10♠Q♠ and after four checks, Ashok Kamani bet 1,200 from the button. David Diaz called from the small blind, and Stephen Moreschi called from under the gun.

The 9♠ appeared on the turn, and the action checked to Kamani once again. He bet 6,000, which forced both players to fold. Moreschi revealed Q♥J♥9♥8♣ as he folded for a flopped straight.

Riordan had a tough task ahead of him, having to crack kings to stay alive. The 4♣4♦10♥ gave him two additional outs. He didn't hit either of them, but his rivered set on the 5♥Q♣ runout kept him in the tournament.

Gabriel Andrade raised to 1,500 from the button, and Christopher Trang three-bet to 4,800 from the big blind. Andrade tossed in the call.

The flop fell 8♠3♥3♦ and Trang bet 2,000. Andrade went for the most aggressive option and raised to 4,500. Trang immediately called.

The 8♥ rolled off on the turn and Trang check-folded after Andrade bet 8,000.

From the big blind, Todd Ivens bet the pot for roughly 26,000 on a board of A♦6♦Q♣7♣. James Chen took a few moments before making the call.

The 9♣ hit the river, and Ivens shoved for his last 8,200. Chen called and was shown the nuts by Ivens with A♣Q♥7♦4♣. Ivens doubled up, as Chen had the second nuts holding A♥K♣J♥5♣.
