Tang Straightens Out Matakis

Ian Matakis raised it up on the button and Danny Tang called from the small blind. The flop came AQ9 and Tang check-called a bet from Matakis which created a pot of around 100,000.

The turn brought the 5 and Tang checked again. Matakis slid out a bet of 52,000 and Tang check-raised all in. Matakis thought for a brief moment before sticking in the additional 80,000 chips in front of him.

Matakis was in the lead with a pair of aces but the K on the turn gave Tang a straight to eliminate Matakis short of the money.

David Litt started the action with a 21,000 bet in hijack and Matas Cimbolas, on the button, asked how much he had behond before three-betting to 39,000. When action went back to him, Litt went all-in for 71,000. Cimbolas snap-called.

Calamusa Sends Off Etim

Juan Duenas who was on the button bet 31,000 when checked to by Giorgii Skhulukhia in early position. Skhulukhia check-called.

Both players checked on the 10, and Duenas scooped the pot as he tabled K10.

Azoulay Calls Wrong

Jonathan Azoulay raised to 16,000 in early position and Ali Shahni called in the blinds. They went heads-up to a flop of K98 and Shahni started with a check. Azoulay tossed in a bet of 25,000 and Shahni check-raised all in for 124,000. Azoulay called it off and the cards were tabled.

Shahni flopped a pair of kings and had Azoulay drawing to just two outs. The 4 on the turn and the 3 on the river changed nothing as Shahni doubled up. Azoulay was left with 25,000 after the hand and was soon eliminated.

Warren's Ace-High is Good

Neil Warren and Chris Moorman were heads-up in a three-bet pot with the flop reading 755. Warren checked to Moorman who bet 24,000 and Warren called.

The turn brought the 2 and both players checked to the 4 on the river. Warren checked for the third time and Moorman checked it back again. Warren turned over AK and Moorman conceded the pot.

Chen Hits One-Outer to KO Holmes

Daniel Holmes shoved for around 50,000 from early position and Pete Chen called from the small blind with a covering stack to put him at risk.

Holmes was in great shape to double up with the higher pocket pair and remained ahead on the 2K3 flop. The 5 turn meant any heart would produce a chop. The once card Holmes didn't want to see came in as the J river fell, securing Holmes' elimination while Chen claimed the last of his chips.
