Boeree Wins Skirmish Against Wise

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Patrick Wise opened to 2,000 on the button before Liv Boeree three-bet to 9,000 from the small blind. Wise made the call to keep the pots heads up as they took a flop.

The action froze on the J99 as both players checked to usher in the 3 turn.

Boeree was done checking as she opted to wager 9,000 on fourth street. Wise yielded the pot with a fold as Boeree picked up a small pot during the second level of the day.

Terner Pays Off Grutka

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Amauri Grutka made it 3,000 to play from under the gun and action folded to Hendrik Terner in the big blind who pumped it up to 10,000. Grutka made the call.

The players checked down the 662 flop as they did on the 9 turn.

The 2 peeled off on the river and Terner checked to Grutka who fired out a river bet of 18,000. Terner thought for a while before he made the call but his cards were quickly in the muck on seeing Grutka table JJ.

Cai Says Goodbye to Preis

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There were about 6,000 in the middle on the flop of 10Q9 when this hand was picked up. Jessica Cai and John Andrews had both put in 6,000 each on the flop before Shimiron Preis shipped it for 17,000. Andrews folded, but Cai quickly made the call to put Preis at risk.

Shimiron Preis: A2All in
Jessica Cai: KJ

Preis flopped a flush draw, but Cai flopped the nut straight and held the lead with two cards to go.

The A paired up Preis, but it was of no use to the at-risk player.

The dealer peeled the 9 river as Preis would see the final card of his tournament.

Lococo's Main Event Comes to an End

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Alejandro Lococo
Alejandro Lococo

With about 25,000 in the middle on a board of 6849, Alejandro Lococo led out for 7,200 from the big blind before Kyle Arora jammed from the hijack. The shove had Lococo's remaining 18,500 covered, and after a long tank, he called it off.

Alejandro Lococo: 95 All in
Kyle Arora: JJ

Arora was ahead with an overpair, but Lococo had plenty of outs with one card to come.

Unfortunately for Lococo, the 2 on the river wasn't one of them, and all of his chips were pushed across the table to Arora.
