Jason James raised to 8,000 from under the gun and Amarender Puri called before Lauren Heit in the cutoff got her last 17,000 into the middle. James pushed all in over the top and Puri folded.
Lauren Heit: A♦6♦
Jason James: 8♣8♥
The J♣9♣2♠2♣K♥ board provided no help for Heit and she bowed out just before the dinner break.
Action was picked up on the turn of a board reading A♦2♦5♣J♣ with just shy of 50,000 in the middle.
Following a bet from Max Petzelberger, Evan Cutler check-jammed his full stack of 125,000 into the middle, which had Petzelberger in the tank. After some thought, he put in the call.
Evan Cutler: A♣3♣
Max Petzelberger: A♠Q♥
Petzelberger had a lot to fade, with any four, three, or club awarding Cutler the pot. The 9♥ river was clean as a whistle, as the German stood up in celebration.
Diogo Duarte opened to 8,000 in the cutoff and immediately faced a three-bet to 22,000 by Mark Egbert on the button. When the action returned to Duarte, he moved all in, which Egbert was all too happy to call, putting his 127,000 at risk.
Mark Egbert: K♠K♦
Diogo Duarte: 8♥8♦
The 7♠A♦7♥5♥Q♠ board saw no change in the standings, giving Egbert a full double-up.
The chips got in preflop between Shahar Levi from middle position and Anirudh Seth in the hijack, with Levi at risk for 195,000 as they went to a showdown.
Shahar Levi: K♠K♣
Anirudh Seth: 9♥9♠
The 5♦J♠4♠ flop was safe for Levi as Seth was still drawing to two outs.
Levi shut the door on the K♥ turn as he hit a set of kings to end the hand.
The meaningless 10♠ peeled on the river as Levi doubled up.
Martin Zamani raised to 10,000 in the cutoff. Steven Markowitz called on the button, and Benjamin Amaral defended his big blind.
Amaral then checked it to Zamani on the 7♥9♥9♠ flop, who bet 18,000. Markowitz folded, but Amaral had other plans and raised to 60,000.
It was not enough for Zamani. He clicked it back to 108,000, winning him the pot as Amaral mucked his hand.
On the next deal, Joseph Furmanek raised to 12,000 in early position. Zamani three-bet to 34,000 as next to act, prompting Amaral to make it 120,000 to go in the small blind.
Furmanek and Zamani folded in quick succession, granting the pot to Amaral without showdown.
David Shaw raised to 9,000 from early position, with Sang Sim calling in the cutoff. Kilo Krahn squeezed to 22,000 from the button, and both Shaw and Sim came along.
Three players saw the 3♠J♦Q♥ flop, and when the action checked to Krahn, he jammed for around 60,000. Shaw got out of the way, but Sim immediately called.
Kilo Krahn: A♥A♣
Sang Sim: Q♣J♣
Krahn's bullets had been outflopped by Sim's top two pair.
The 7♠ turn and 9♣ river changed nothing, and Krahn became the latest casualty of the Main Event.
