Fan Makes the Wrong Call to Send Trayner's Stack Soaring

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Malcolm Trayner
Malcolm Trayner

Heads-up on a board of 3K27 with several hundred thousand already in the middle, Chih Wei Fan bet 275,000 from the big blind and Malcolm Trayner called in middle position.

The 4 completed the board and Fan slightly increased his wager for a bet of 300,000. Trayner thought a while before announcing he was all in, which was enough to put Fan all in for his last 975,000.

Fan went deep into the tank and began quietly listing what he thought Trayner's hands could be.

After a few minutes, Fan reluctantly called all in and Trayner turned over KQ for a pair of kings. Fan showed he held QQ for a pair of queens and was eliminated.

"I level myself too much..." Fan said. "Good game."

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Arriving at the table to see Josh Arieh all-in and at risk for around 800,000 from the blinds, with Simon Britton trying to score the knockout from the button.

Josh Arieh: KJ All in
Simon Britton: 44

Britton had the chance to eliminate the seven-time bracelet winner if his pocket fours could win the race.

Arieh found no help on the 563 flop, and his hopes took another hit when Britton improved to a straight on the 7 turn.

The 6 river didn't bring Arieh a chop, and he wished the table good luck before making his exit from the Main Event.

Hachem Continues to Build, Araujo Eliminated

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Daniel Hachem
Daniel Hachem

Wellington Araujo raised to 100,000 in early position, and, after Daniel Hachem three-bet him to 250,000 in the cutoff, Araujo moved all in for 915,000, which Hachem called.

Wellington Araujo: 1010 All in
Daniel Hachem: AK

The 492 flop was a welcome sight for Araujo, not only keeping him in the lead, but also reducing Hachem's outs. That mattered not, though, as Hachem pinged the A on the turn to take the lead. The 3 had no effect on the outcome, and Araujo slid his chips into the middle, took a photo of the board, and headed out.

Set Over Set Goes in Favor of Urban

Level 24 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

With 1,350,000 already in the pot already preflop, David Urban fired 450,000 from the big blind on the KQ3 flop. Jason Blount called from middle position.

The 10 landed on the turn, and Urban jammed for his remaining 1,125,000. Blount quickly made the call.

David Urban: KK All in
Jason Blount: QQ

It was a brutal cooler of set over set, with Blount needing the case queen to make quads.

The 8 river was no help, and the pot of more than four million was pushed over to Urban.

Lauri Saaskilahti raised to 120,000 on the button and Lucas Jumalon three-bet to 400,000 in the small blind. Saaskilahti called, and they saw a flop of 2107.

Jumalon then continued for 225,000, and Saaskilahti called. Jumalon bet another 800,000 on the 4 turn, and Saaskilahti again called.

The river was the 9 and Jumalon slowed down and checked. Saaskilahti then announced all in, and Jumalon quickly folded.

Saaskilahti allowed Jumalon to pick one of his cards, and Jumalon turned over the 6. "What a beast," tablemate Abhishek Goindi said.

"Can I shake your hand, sir?" Ibrahim Naim added as he reached across the table.

"This should be the feature table," Goindi said.
