At one of the feature tables, Malcolm Trayner raised to 240,000 from under the gun with A♠10♦ and was called by Jeff Weiss to his left with A♥K♠, Michael Gagliano in middle position with 7♠7♦, and Christopher Chaudey who defended from the small blind with J♠J♥.

After three checks, Gagliano bet 300,000 with a set on the 7♣2♦4♠ flop. Chaudey check-raised to 800,000 to make Trayner and Weiss fold, but Gagliano made the call.

Chaudey continued for 850,000 on the Q♣ turn but Gagliano went into the tank and raised to 2,500,000.

Facing the raise, Chaudey talked to himself in both French and English for around five minutes. “You have to have a set. I don’t see this guy bluffing,” he thought.

In the end, he trusted his read and folded.

After Gagliano checked the Q♠ river, Sannier bet 825,000 again. Gagliano now with a full house called and scooped the pot.
