Day 1a of Event #1: $550 Mini Mystery Millions saw 1,635 entrants whittled down to 60 over the course of 22 20-minute levels. As you can imagine, reducing the field so much meant the action came thick and fast from the moment the first cards were pitched. David Prociak was one player who managed to navigate his way to Day 2, ending the flight with 1,500,000 chips, enough for fifth place.
Prociak is the proud owner of three World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets and a pair of WSOP Circuit rings. There's still an awful lot of poker to be played before a champion emerges from this tournament, but Prociak has done his chances of glory no harm at all.
Jansen Satparam is the early pace setter in this tournament, cramming 1,800,000 chips into his overnight back once play ended. The Las Vegas native is coming off the back of a final table appearance in a $300 buy-in NLHE tournament 10 days ago, where he fell in seventh from a 1,373-strong field.

Another bumper crowd is expected to descend on the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for Day 1b of this event. Cards are in the air from 10:00 a.m. local time on May 27, with another 22 fast-paced levels scheduled.
