Event #1: $550 Mini Mystery Millions
Day 1d Completed
Day 1d of Event #1: $550 Mini Mystery Millions continued to have a strong turnout with 4,579 players joining the field. This was almost double yesterday's showing at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
It took all 22 levels of the day to get that number down to a final 178 survivors, which left Matt Stout in joint second with 1,900,000 in chips.
Stout has $4.6 million in live cashes and four WSOPC Online rings to his name. He shares second place with two other players who finished the day behind Paul Interrante. Interrate topped the day's field with 2,100,000 in chips.
Today's turnout means the Mini Mystery Millions has passed 10k entrants with a total of 10,226 entries and 382 Day 2 survivors.

If the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is anything like 2025, it's going to be, to quote Gus Hansen, a great summer.
Last year's Las Vegas series had a record 100 gold bracelet events, with a record 234 bracelets awarded throughout the year including online and multiple live stops.
The 2025 WSOP featured a rare triple-bracelet winner who wasn't even the summer's top performer.

So if you want to build the ultimate summer rail list right now, look no further.

In the 965th episode of the PokerNews Podcast, which is sponsored by WPT Global, Chad Holloway and Mike Holtz are joined by Matt Berkey at Level 9 Studio in Las Vegas to discuss the brouhaha surrounding patch at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP), a topic spurred by a social media post from Patrick Leonard. What's the situation, and should you be worried?
The trio then discusses Charlie Carrel being banned from entering the USA for nine years now, stemming from a drug arrest, poker returning next week to The Lodge in Texas, and an update on the bankruptcy of Maurice Hawkins, who amended his court filing to include his "friend" and "backer" Cody Stanford.
Chad then asks Berkey if we might ever see the return of the Only Friends Podcast before the crew wraps things up by examining WPT Global Ambassador Phil Ivey's top WSOP scores.
Find out all about those stories and more in this week's episode of the PokerNews Podcast! Oh, and be sure to check out the audio version of the PokerNews Podcast that is available on all major podcasting platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and SoundCloud.
