This hand was picked up on the turn of a board that read 10♥9♠J♥6♥ with approximately 400,000 in the middle.
Pavels Spirins checked it over to Michael Moncek, who bet 305,000 in position. Spirins called.
The A♥ river put four hearts on the board. Spirins checked again, and Moncek followed through with a shove for 1,175,000.
Spirins went into the tank stating, "I have to call, but my read says don't call."
After some deliberation, Spirins tossed his cards in the muck as he went with his read.
Moncek tabled K♣9♣ for a bluff to the amusement of the table as he took in the chips.
Following a Roman Hrabec open from the cutoff, Thomas Eychenne got all of his chips in the middle, totalling 1,180,000. Hrabec was right there with him, and the two went off to a runout.
Thomas Eychenne: A♥K♦
Roman Hrabec: A♣Q♠
It was a topsy turvy runout, as Hrabec soared into the lead on the 8♦Q♣6♥ flop. Eychenne then drilled the K♠ on the turn to regain the lead, and held as the 5♠ river secured his double.
Action was picked up on the river, with a board reading 9♦6♦3♥4♥6♥. Big blind Michael Moncek was sat with 80,000 as his bet, into a pot of around 300,000. His opponent in the hand, Pavels Spirins in early position, postured for a while before putting in a huge raise, to the tune of 650,000. This was for most of Moncek's stack, and he went deep into the tank. Eventually, he put in the call, and saw the bad news as Spirins tabled A♥2♥ for the backdoored nut flush.
Alexander James opened to 80,000 from early position before Michael Moncek responded with a re-raise to 250,000 from middle position.
James jammed and was snap-called by Moncek, who put himself at risk for 900,000.
Michael Moncek: A♠A♣
Alexander James: Q♥Q♣
Moncek was on the right end of the cooler, and the board kept his aces ahead when it fanned out 4♠5♣3♥5♦8♥ to award Moncek the double.
The Day 2 chip leader, Anatoly Nikitin, is among the most recent bustouts.
Yang Zhou opened to 80,000 from early position, but Andrew Moreno wanted to play for more as he chose to re-raise to 200,000.
Zhou three-bet to 550,000 in response. Moreno called to create a million chip pot before they hit a flop.
The Q♦2♦4♥ flop led to a bet of 200,000 from Zhou. Moreno stayed in with a call.
Zhou slowed down with a check on the A♦ turn. Moreno fired 225,000 on the turn. Zhou gave it considerable thought before she waved the white flag and folded as Moreno took down a considerable pot.
Bobby James opened the action with a raise to 80,000 under the gun. Barak Wisbrod was on his direct left, and put in a swift three-bet to 200,000. Action folded all the way back around to James, who pondered his decision. Eventually, he let his hand go, folding A♦Q♥ face up.
