Robert James
Robert James

Bobby James opened to 120,000 from the cutoff, and Ricky Landais shoved 340,000 on the button. The blinds folded and James made the call.

Ricky Landais: AK All in
Bobby James: A9

The dealer put out a four card flop of 6K54 As per WSOP rules, the four cards were shuffled, and one was picked at random to be used as the second burn. Brutally for Landais, his pair was chosen as the 465 flop was established. The 8 turn gave James extra outs, and both the table and commentators gave their sincere commiserations as the disgusting 7 river gave James a straight, and ended Landais' bracelet dreams.

John Cynn

"Magic" John Cynn, a past world champion, ended a four-year drought of no live tournament cashes on Wednesday at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

The Chicago-area native avoided the bubble in Event #17: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw Championship when Jon Shoreman busted in 31st place just after the Day 2 dinner break. In doing so, the 2018 WSOP Main Event winner secured his first cash in any tournament — not just at the WSOP — since July 2022.

Chris Brewer
Chris Brewer

Chris Brewer limped in from the small blind with A7 and Thomas Eychenne checked his option with 106

Brewer flopped massive on 347 picking up top pair and the nut flush draw. When action checked through, Eychenne's gutshout improved to a double gutter, as the 9 kept him interested in the hand. He called a 120,000 bet from Brewer, only for the 8 to roll off on the river.

Brewer played trappy, checking his rivered nut flush over to Eychenne, and Eychenne bet exactly pot for 420,000. Brewer then check-raised to 2,100,000, leaving only 85,000 behind. After a tank, Eychenne reluctantly made the call and saw the bad news, as he was left with less than ten big blinds.

Josephy showed that the board kept getting worse for his 88 and Reid took the pot down with A5 for top pair.
