Riabov Goes From Zero to Hero

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/10,000, 100,000 ante

The first hand after the break saw an action flop of QAQ with under the gun player John Racener holding KQ for trips, small blind Chad Lipton with a royal flush draw holding K10, and Riabov with A7 for top two. Racener threw out a bet of 250,000, which was called by both of his opponents.

The A turn fired Riabov into the lead, and action checked through, bringing in the 5 river. Lipton checked, and Riabov took the betting lead to the tune of 500,000. Both other players managed to get away.

Reid Can't Find a Jack

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Terrance Reid opened to 160,000 in the cutoff. Zdenek Zizka then put in a tiny three-bet to 320,000 from the button, and Reid shoved his 1,460,000. Zizka made the quick call.

Terrance Reid: AJ All in
Zdenek Zizka: AQ

Top pair couldn't help Reid, as his kicker problems on 3AK24 sent him packing just before the final two tables.

Moncek Bluffs it Off

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Cliff Josephy opened A7 to 160,000 under the gun. Michael Moncek flatted from the cutoff, and the two went off to a flop as everybody else folded.

Josephy continued for 175,000 on a flop of 584 and Moncek came along, only for Josephy to hit the best turn in the deck in the form of the 6, giving him a straight and the nut flush draw. He sneakily checked, then tank-called Moncek's 335,000 turn bet.

The river 8 downgraded him slightly, and he checked for a second time. Moncek over-bet shoved, and Josephy snapped off to send him to the rail.

Lipton Turns James Out

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Action was picked up in a limped blind vs blind pot between Bobby James and Chad Lipton. On a flop of 6JA Lipton bet his nut flush draw with K4 for just a single big blind, and James smooth called with J6 for two pair.

The turn 8 gave Lipton the nuts, and he did not slow down as he opted for a sizing of 175,000 when checked to. James called, and the 5 peeled of on the river. James checked for a third time, and Lipton put out 650,000. James snap-called, and saw the bad news.

Hrabec Bluffs Cruz Martinez Off Top Pair

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Roman Hrabec opened 76 to 160,000 on the button, and Alexis Cruz Martinez opted to defend his big with A5.

He checked, and Hrabec put out a continuation-bet of 100,000 with his gutshot on the 84A flop, before Cruz Martinez check-raised to 250,000 with top pair. Hrabec wasn't going anywhere, and put in a minimum three-bet to 400,000.

After Cruz Martinez called, Hrabec then fired another barrel, this time of 600,000 on the 2 turn when checked to. After some thought, Cruz Martinez folded the best hand.

Mechammil Beats Two Sets

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Rick Mechammil opened K10 under the gun to 160,000. Alexander James flatted 88 from the hijack, and Brewer defended his big blind with 55

The 8AJ flop gave James middle set, and a gutshot to Mechammil, which he decided to continuation-bet for 170,000. Only James made the call, and the Q turn was an absolute dream for Mechammil, as he hit the exact card he needed to. He went small, for 225,000 and James put in yet another call.

The 5 river might've made Brewer a bit sick, even though his set would've been third best, as Mechammil's straight held. He bet out for a third time, for 500,000. As was written, James shoved, Mechammil snapped, and secured the full double.

James Flops the Stones

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Artem Riabov opened to 160,000 from the hijack holding A8, Mike Meskin with QJ and Bobby James with 53 both defended from the small blind and big blind, respectfully.

James saw the perfect 42A flop, giving him the wheel whilst Riabov also caught top pair. Riabov then bet out for 250,000 when checked to, and James put in a check-raise to 680,000. Riabov slid in a call, and the 10 was put out on the turn.

James didn't slow down at all, and went for the overbet jam, with his stack at 2,665,000. Riabov didn't take too long before showing his ace and making the fold.
