Daisuke Ogita opened to 100,000 under the gun and Christopher Burrows three-bet to 225,000. Ogita four-bet to 700,000 putting Burrows all in for his last 105,000, and saw a snap call from his opponent.

There was very little change on the 7♥3♠6♦3♦6♥ runout, and Burrows secured a double up and remained in his seat for a little while longer.
Daisuke Ogita raised from the cutoff to 80,000, Daniel Hill called from the button, and Vernon Waite put in the squeeze shove in the small blind for 355,000. Ogita folded, and Hill tanked, and then called.

The board offered no save for Waite with 8♣6♠7♣2♦6♣, and Hill's queen kicker would play for the win.
Shundan Xiao open-jammed all in from under the gun for 340,000 and action folded to Justin Arnwine in the cutoff who made the call. The rest of the table exited stage left sharply.

The J♣K♣J♦ flop gave Xiao a gutshot to stay alive and when the 3♣ peeled off on the turn she also picked up flush outs. The dealer rolled off the Q♦ for the river to complete Xiao's straight and send her the pot for back-to-back double ups.
In one of the first hands back from the dinner break, action folded around to Shundan Xiao in the small blind who moved all in for her remaining 150,000. Justin Arnwine was sat to her direct left in the big blind and snap called.

Her pocket kings improved on the K♥8♣Q♦ flop, and she locked up the double with ease after seeing the 3♥ turn and 7♣ complete the board.
Xiao finished third in this same event last year here at the WSOP and is still in with a chance of improving on her own record.

David Rees raised from under the gun to 60,000, and Cherish Andrews three-bet to 150,000. Rees called. The flop was 3♣7♠Q♠, and Rees checked, while Andrews bet out 80,000. Rees put in a check-raise to 215,000, and Andrews called.
On the turn 5♥, Rees led out for 300,000, and Andrews called.
The river 10♦, saw Rees check, and Andrews put on the max pressure and bet 1,000,000. Rees went straight to the think tank and eventually folded.
After finding a spin up to around 700,000 Justin Lapka was at risk again in the final hand before the dinner break.
Lukas Hafner opened from under the gun and action folded around to Lapka, who moved all in from the big blind. Hafner claled and the player flipped their hands.

Lapka saw no help on the 9♠K♦6♣Q♠5♦ runout, and was sent home in 26th place for $13,260. Igal Prives was also seen walking awya shortly before having been taken out in 27th place for the same payout.
Chris Hunichen raised to 60,000 from under the gun, and Michel Molenaar flat-called from the next seat. The action folded around to Lucas Giayetto in the small blind, who three-bet all in for 740,000.
Hunichen went into the tank briefly before he mucked his hand, and Molenaar snap-called to put Giayetto at risk.
