Dekel Balas raised to 75,000 from late position and in the cutoff, Brandon Cantu stood out of his chair.
"Pot!" he exclaimed and action folded back around to Balas who moved all in for 500,000 effective to see Cantu call.
Brandon Cantu: A♠A♥9♣5♦
Dekel Balas: A♦A♣Q♥J♥
The board ran out 5♥4♠2♥J♦8♦ and both players shared the same high with aces, but it was Cantu holding the only low with a live ace.
For years, fans have followed every part of Daniel Negreanu’s World Series of Poker grinds through his vlogs. This week, however, the seven-time WSOP bracelet winner shared something far more personal than a tournament update or high-stakes hand review.
At the start of a recent vlog, Negreanu could be seen doing some light reading from The New Father: A Dad’s Guide to the First Year.
That’s right. KidPoker is about to become DaddyPoker!
Big O
Three ways on a flop of Q♦Q♥3♥, Jordan Siegel checked from the small blind and David Yarbrough checked from the big blind to Brandon Shack-Harris, who bet. Siegel folded and Yarbrough called.
Both players checked on the 6♥ turn and then Yarbrough check-called a bet from Shack-Harris after a bit of thought.
Shack-Harris turned over A♥7♦5♥5♠3♦ for the nut flush and Yarbrough sent his cards into the muck.
Big O
Reagan Rich opened from the hijack and Joseph Weinberger moved all in for his remaining stack from the small blind. Lawrence Berg called cold from the big blind and Rich called as well.
Both players checked down on the Q♠2♠10♦10♥10♣ runout and Weinberger revealed A♠A♣K♥8♦2♥ for tens-full of aces.
It was best against Berg's A♥K♠Q♣8♠3♦ and Rich's A♦K♣7♠7♦3♠ and he was awarded a much-needed triple up.
Omaha Hi-Lo
Woody Deck raised in late position and called Michael Banducci's three-bet on the button.
The flop rolled out J♥7♥5♣ and Deck bet to see Banducci raise. Deck raised himself all in for another full bet and Banducci called.
"I have nut-nut draw," said Deck as he turned over his cards.
Woody Deck: A♥10♥2♦2♠
Michael Banducci: A♠A♦10♠6♣
The turn A♣ was not one of the low cards Deck needed and the river 9♣ changed nothing to see Banducci take down the pot.
Omaha Hi-Lo
Brian Battistone raised in late position and then called the three-bet from Kevin Choi in the cutoff.
The flop rolled out K♣J♣5♠ and Battistone checked over to Choi who bet. Battistone raised and Choi opted to call.
Battistone bet on the 9♠ turn and Choi called a second time.
On the river 8♣, Battistone bet quickly and after some thought Choi tossed his hand into the muck.
Omaha Hi-Lo
Jordan Siegel opened from early position and was called by Woody Deck in the cutoff, Naween Fernando in the small blind, and Chris Lee in the big blind for a four-way pot.
Action checked to Siegel, who continued for a bet on the K♦5♦8♥ flop. Frenando and Deck folded, but Lee called.
Lee then check-called a bet from Siegel on the 4♠ turn before leading out for a bet on the 8♣ river.
Siegel called and Lee revealed A♣7♠5♣2♣ for a pair of fives with the nut low. Siegel turned over A♠10♦9♦2♥ for the same low and an inferior high — sending three-quarters of the pot to Lee.
Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo
Jordan Siegel raised to 75,000 in the cutoff and called Brandon Shack-Harris' three-bet to 255,000 from the small blind.
The flop rolled out J♣10♥8♠ and Shack-Harris moved all in for 180,000 to see Siegel call.
Brandon Shack-Harris: A♠A♥K♥3♣
Jordan Siegel: A♣10♦5♣3♦
Shack-Harris' aces held up on the runout of J♠4♠, further improving to aces up and the WSOP bracelet winner took down the pot.
Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo
Justin Liberto raised from under the gun and it was folded to Matthew Beinner, who called all in for his remaining stack. Everyone else folded and hands were revealed.
Matthew Beinner: 10♥5♣4♥2♣
Justin Liberto: A♠Q♠9♥8♠
The board ran out 9♠K♥6♠10♦K♠ — leaving Liberto best with his flush to eliminate Beinner early on.
