Tilton Bests Big Stacks

Jason Daly raised to 4,500 in the hijack. James Tilton called in the cutoff, and so did Frank Kassela in the big blind. Kassela and Daly each took two cards, with Tilton only needing one.

No further bets went in as the players then checked it to showdown. Tilton tabled Jx9x7x5x3x for a jack-low, and he won the chips in the middle.

Deeb Raises Big Against Mizrachi

Level 8 : Blinds 800/1,600, 2,400 ante

Robert Mizrachi raised to 4,500 under the gun and was called by Shaun Deeb in the cutoff and Chris Moneymaker in the big blind.

Moneymaker drew two, while Mizrachi and Deeb took one. Mizrachi then bet 8,500, and Deeb came back with a raise to 30,000.

Moneymaker quickly folded, while Mizrachi also gave up his cards as Deeb took down the pot.

With about 40,000 in the pot, Joao Vieira stood pat in the big blind. Brian Yoon then drew one card in the hijack, after which the duo checked it to showdown.

Vieira announced a jack-low and tabled Jx10x4x3x2x to prove it. Yoon's draw had been insufficient, as he mucked his cards to concede the pot.

Harman Brings Herself to Valuetown

David Stamm flicked in a raise to 4,000 in the hijack. Jennifer Harman called in the small blind before drawing one card, and Stamm took one as well.

Harman then led out with a bet of 8,000, which Stamm called after some thought. Harman confidently tabled 10x6x4x3x2x for the second-best ten, but Stamm had made an eight with 8x7x5x4x3x to be awarded the chips.

"I'm a professional at this game," Ren Lin said as he was one of four players who went to the draw. Lin drew two, Carlo van Ravenswoud three, Bryce Yockey one, and Galen Hall two.

"Ay ya," Lin said as he peeled his cards and checked in the small blind. Action checked around to Hall who bet 16,000 from the button.

"You can't say ay ya and then call," Hall said to Lin.

"Almost," Lin replied, tossing his cards away. Van Ravenswoud also folded in the big blind, while Yockey called in the cutoff.

Hall showed 9x6x4x3x2x, and Yockey mucked.

Three-Bet Puts Schreiber Over Six Figures

John Monnette made it 4,000 to go in the cutoff and called when Matthew Schreiber three-bet to 12,000 on the button. Monnette took one card before Schreiber opted to stay pat.

It was then quickly checked to showdown, where Schreiber's 10x9x7x6x3x took down the pot.

Schulman's cards were all hearts, and he discarded the 5 that gave him a wheel but also a flush. Kornuth paired with a 7x, while Schulman caught yet another 5x on his last card to get back his wheel and send Kornuth to the rail.

"Make sure to put that it was meant to be," tablemate Chino Rheem said.

Jon Shoreman raised to 3,600 preflop, which Mike Lang reraised to 10,000. Shoreman then moved all in for about 50,000, but Lang deemed the amount too much and quickly folded his hand.

"Bad table change," Stephen Moreschi said as he was moved to a new table featuring David "ODB" Baker, Alex Foxen, Calvin Anderson, Mike Matusow, and Benny Glaser.

Moreschi sat out this hand as Foxen opened to 3,200 on the button. Anderson then three-bet to 13,500 in the big blind, and Foxen called.

Both players drew one, and Anderson then led out for 7,500. Foxen called, and Anderson showed 9x6x5x3x2x to win the pot.
