Players are going on a 15-minute break.
The tournament clock currently shows 45 players remaining.
Frank Kassela raised to 12,000 in the cutoff, Dennis Weiss three-bet to 40,000 in the big blind, and Kassela called.
Weiss stood pat, while Kassela drew one. Weiss then bet 32,000, and Kassela called.
Weiss showed 8x8x7x7x3x for two pair, while Kassela had Kx10x6x4x2x to win the pot.
At the same table, Matthew Valeo has built his stack up to around 500,000.
Cary Katz moved all in for his last 80,000 from the big blind and Oscar Johansson put him at risk in the hijack.
Cary Katz: 7x5x4x2x
Oscar Johansson: 9♦8x7x6x4x
Katz drew one, while Johansson patted his 9-8. "Let's see if this is the magic card," Katz said as he turned over his last card, which was a K♣ to lock up the pot for Johansson and send Katz to the rail.
Dennis Weiss raised under the gun to 11,000 and only Scott Seiver called from the big blind.
Seiver drew one while Weiss stood pat.
Seiver checked it over to Weiss, and Weiss bet 11,000. Seiver thought it over for quite some time, talking out loud to Weiss and the table, and in the end, he came to the decision to call.
Weiss showed 8x8x6x3x3x, but had been soul-read by Seiver with 10x9x7x7x6x for a pair of sevens.
The entire table, including Weiss, was flabbergasted by Seiver's correct hero call.
John Cynn raised to 12,000 under the gun, Brian Tate moved all in for 60,000 on the button, and Cynn called.
Cynn turned over 10x8x4x3x2x. "You're good," Tate said as he also flashed a 10-8 before mucking and heading to the exit.
"I'm sitting next to two world champs," Matthew Schreiber said as John Cynn recently joined his table, sitting right beside Daniel Weinman.
"I figured I would come back and donate $20K or so to you guys. I'm still trying to figure out how to play this game. Should have it figured out by tomorrow," Weinman said.
Meanwhile, Cary Katz raised to 15,000 in the small blind and Ryutaro Suzuki called in the big blind.
Katz stood pat, while Suzuki drew one. Katz then led out for 5,000, Suzuki raised to 25,000, and Katz quickly folded.
Ren Lin raised to 12,000 in the cutoff before Phil Hellmuth three-bet to 40,000 on the button. Ryan Riess then moved all in for 67,000 in the small blind and Lin folded, while Hellmuth called to put him at risk.
Ryan Riess: 7x5x4x2x
Phil Hellmuth: Jx10x8x6x4x
Hellmuth patted his jack, while Riess took one. "Three-across spade. 50-50," Riess said as he slowly peeled his last card, turning over an 8x to make 8-7 and earn the double up.
David Lin raised to 11,000 in middle position and Daniel Negreanu three-bet to 41,000 in the small blind. Lin called and drew one, while Negreanu stood pat.
Negreanu then bet 80,000, and Lin spent several minutes in the tank before calling. Negreanu snap-mucked, and Lin took the pot without a showdown.
"Looked like I had it. Didn't have it," Negreanu said after the hand.
