On a 8♠7♦3♣ board Christopher Alcindor bet and called a shove from Sang Shin.
Sang Shin: A♦6♥4♥2♦2♥
Christopher Alcindor: A♠A♣Q♦J♣4♣
The turn was the 2♣ and the river the 5♣ giving both players the nut low. Alcindor initially thought he'd won the high as well, but Shin held a six for an eight-high straight to take three quarters.
Song Wang opened to 250,000 in the cutoff and Mark Gregorich came along from the small blind.
On the K♠9♣2♥ flop, Gregorich checked to Wang who bet 300,000. Gregorich check-potted, and he ended up getting his roughly 2,000,000 remaining stack into the middle, at risk against Wang.
Mark Gregorich: A♥10♦6♥2♠2♣
Song Wang: K♥K♣8♠7♠7♦
It was an unfortunate set-under-set situation for Gregorich, who had some backdoor equity with the better low potential and backdoor hearts.
The J♥ turn brought a sweat, but the river was the A♦, ending Gregorich's run in 14th place.
On a A♦J♠4♥Q♠ board, with over 1.3 million chips in the pot, Senovio Ramirez bet 900,000 and Christopher Alcindor raised all in for 2,460,000.
He covered Ramirez by around 700,000 and Ramirez eventually called.
Christopher Alcindor: A♠K♠J♣8♥3♥
Senovio Ramirez: K♣K♦10♣6♥2♠
Ramirez had turned the nut straight, with Alcindor drawing to the nut low and flush. The river 2♣ secured him half the pot, and they chopped it up.
Stanislav Halatenko potted to 350,000 second-to-act. In the big blind, Thomas Koral repotted to 1,100,000, Halatenko was all-in for 1,325,000, and Koral called.
Stanislav Halatenko: A♣Q♠Q♦4♦3♦
Thomas Koral: A♥A♦J♠9♣8♠
The Q♥7♦4♣ flop gave Halatenko top set as well as the superior low draw. The 3♥ came on the turn, giving Halatenko another unwanted pair as Koral held the only qualifying low.
In brutal fashion, the A♠ fell on the river, giving Koral top set and live eight. It was the only scoop card in the entire deck, and Halatenko hit the exit after a gross bad beat.
Volodymyr Kondratenko was all in for 1,030,000 and had been called by Song Wang.
Volodymyr Kondratenko: A♣K♦K♥8♥5♥
Song Wang: A♥A♦Q♣6♥2♣
Aces held up, but they weren't needed as Wang turned a flush on the Q♦8♣7♣10♣6♠ board.
Bruno Furth was all-in for 130,000 from the button, Stanislav Halatenko called in the small blind, and Volodymyr Kondratenko came along from the big blind.
The 5♣4♥2♠ flop checked through to the K♥ turn which saw Halatenko check-fold to a 250,000 bet from Kondratenko.
Bruno Furth: A♠A♦K♣4♦2♦
Volodymyr Kondratenko: 10♠8♦7♣6♠3♦
Kondratenko had a straight with a six low, against Furth's aces. The river was the A♥, and Furth's top set was no good as he got scooped, as the two-time Omaha bracelet winner hits the rail.
The tournament has now been reduced to its final two tables.
Shawn Rice was all in for 1,840,000, covering his opponent Bruno Furth by just 10,000 chips.
Shawn Rice: A♣10♥9♦4♣4♠
Bruno Furth: A♠8♣3♣2♦2♠
The board came Q♥9♥4♦6♣K♣ with trip fours enough for Rice to double up. Furth would double the very next hand but would remain short.
Meanwhile, at another table, Kevin Kendrick was sent to the rail by Senovio Ramirez.
