The hand was joined with Ryan Thoresen and Keith Olsby on the river in a battle of the blinds.
Bets were 40,000 preflop.
After the 9♦K♥J♣ hit, each player put in 100,000. The A♦ came on the turn and both players added 325,000 to the pot.
The river brought the 4♦, delivering a potential diamond flush on a board with no possible low.
Thoresen checked and Olsby bet 400,000, about half his stack.
Thoresen took a long time studying the board before deciding to fold.
Yehuda Buchalter opened under the gun to 100,000. His only customer was Yinjie Mei out of the small blind. Action checked through on a flop of 9♠Q♦4♥, prompting Mei to lead out for 160,000 on the 7♣ turn. Buchalter called, and both players saw the K♠ river.
Mei didn't slow down, pushing forward a massive stack, good for a pot-sized bet of 580,000. Buchalter didn't take too long before calling, and Mei sheepishly showed A♥10♣9♥6♥2♦ for a pair of nines. Buchalter tabled A♣K♣10♦4♦2♠, having not believed his opponent and making the correct call with just top and bottom pair.
Kristy Adams opened to 60,000 on the button. Dimitrios Melissourgos flatted from the small blind, before Matthew Bretzfield put in a raise from the big. Adams then shoved for slightly more, and Melissourgos went into the tank before folding. Matthew Bretzfield called to see five.
Kristy Adams: A♥K♣6♥4♥3♥
Matthew Bretzfield: A♦7♠3♦2♠2♣
Bretzfield had the lead with a pair of twos, and somehow they held all the way to the river. Adams was unable to connect at all on the 9♣Q♥5♠J♦9♠ runout, sending her to the rail. "F*ck!" announced Melissourgos, visibly frustrated with his fold.
There was a mild controversy about an action from George Wang preflop. He wanted to raise, but had not put in enough chips to do so.
As the dealer was about to call the floor over, Shawn Rice, who was in the big blind asked Wang what he had intended to do.
"I wanted to raise," Wang said.
"Well, go ahead and raise," Rice said.
After Wang raised to 60,00 Rice immediately said, "Pot!"
The entire table laughed.
Wang waited about five seconds before he folded.
Christopher Alcindor raised to 80,000 from middle position. The action folded to Jake Liebeskind, who called a pot-sized raise from the big blind.
Alcindor made the call of Liebeskind's all-in.
Jake Liebeskind: A♣A♥9♦4♥2♦
Christopher Alcindor: A♦J♦5♠3♥2♠
The 6♣8♠7♦K♦7♠ runout gave both player the nut-low. Liebeskind took the high with his aces for three-quarters of the pot.
Action was picked up on a flop of 8♣J♠K♦ with 325,000 in the middle. Big blind Kevin Kendrick moved all in for 105,000 when checked to, and both early position raiser Qiang Xu and small blind Nicolas Milgrom stuck in the call. The 3♣ turn saw Milgrom pot for 640,000, and Xu folded quickly.
Kevin Kendrick: A♦A♠Q♠J♣2♥
Nicolas Milgrom: A♣K♠9♥8♦5♣
Kendrick needed help from the river, which he got in the form of the J♥. "Aces," he announced, before realising that he had in fact improved to trips. Either way, he scooped the full pot.
Level: 23
Blinds: 15,000/30,000
Ante: 30,000
Action arrived heads up to a river, with the board reading 8♣A♠10♣6♥2♣ and action on early position Kristy Adams. Her opponent, big blind Chris Conrad, had fired a chunky river bet, however it didn't scare her off. She moved all in, and Conrad quickly made the call.
"Nut clubs," she announced as she tabled A♣K♣Q♥9♦3♣ for exactly that, as well as a qualifying low. Conrad couldn't produce a better hand, and mucked his cards.
