Michael Mizrachi completed before Naoya Kihara raised. It folded back to Mizrachi, who made it three-bets. Kihara called.

"You've got 7-7-9," Mizrachi told Kihara, who called bets on fourth and fifth street. "I've got trips...a set of kings," Mizrachi continued.

On sixth street, the action really picked up, with a series of raises taking place. Mizrachi called Kihara's five-bet, and then checked on seventh. Kihara threw out another bet, and Mizrachi wasn't thrilled with the spot, but put in the call.

Kihara turned over his flush to leave Mizrachi among the short stacks.

"I think this is the one," said Brad Ruben, who raised over James Cheung completion. It folded back to Cheung, who reraised. Ruben put in the rest of his short stack to go off to the races.

Ruben was ahead with eights in the hole, until Cheung made a pair of aces on sixth street. Cheung improved aces up by seventh, leaving Ruben needing an eight.

Ruben missed, turning over the 5 for him to be the first final table casualty.

Three ways on fourth street with a large pot already brewing, Jeremy Ausmus bet and was called by James Cheung and Naoya Kihara.

Ausmus bet again on fifth and was raised by Cheung. Kihara called cold and Ausmus made it three bets to go. Both Cheung and Kihara called.

"This is the biggest pot of the tournament!" Kessler chimed in. "Maybe I shouldn't say that..."

Ausmus bet again on sixth street and both Cheung and Kihara called. All three players then checked down on seventh.

"Jacks-up," Cheung announced first as he tabled his holding. Neither Ausmus or Kihara could beat it and sent their cards into the muck — awarding the massive pot to Cheung.

Just before the the field merged onto one table, James Cheung and Jeremy Ausmus were contesting a pot, where the action picked up on fifth street.

Ausmus, with open sixes, bet. Cheung called. Ausmus then check-called a bet on sixth street before check-raising on seventh.

Cheung went into the tank. He ultimately flicked in calling chips for Ausmus to reveal his straight, which he said he caught on seventh.

Kihara bet on fifth and sixth street, with his open eights. Pisarenko called both times for the players to receive their final down card.

Kihara checked, and snap-called when Pisarenko's final bet went into the middle.

Pisarenko had tens and fours, but it was no match for Kihara's aces and eights.

Pisarenko departed in tenth place, to set up the unofficial final table.

Cheung improved to a six-high straight by sixth street, but Kluska was drawing live to a higher street on seventh.

Kluska slowly peeled what turned out to be a 5x — improving him to a nine-high straight to score another double up early on in Day 3.
