Chip Counts
The players are now on their second 15-minute break of the day.
Alex Foxen opened to 30,000 in the cutoff and Nick Schulman defended in the big blind.
Schulman checked on the flop of Q♣K♥2♠ and Foxen continued for 25,000. Schulman called. Schulman checked again on the J♣ turn and Foxen sized up to 105,000. Schulman laid it down.
Pieter Aerts raised to 30,000 from under the gun, Johannes Straver three-bet to 78,000 from the cutoff, and Raoul Kanme four-bet all in for 129,000 from the button. Action folded around to Straver, who made the call.
Raoul Kanme: J♥J♣
Johannes Straver: A♣Q♦
The board was K♦3♥7♥3♣6♦, and two pair won a much-needed double-up for Kanme.
Cedric Schwaederle raised to 30,000 from under the gun, and action folded around to Chris Hunichen in the big blind, who three-bet all in for 97,000. Schwaederle snap-called.
Chris Hunichen: A♥10♦
Cedric Schwaederle: J♣10♥
No drama for Hunichen on the 6♦4♠6♠5♠2♦ runout, and he was shipped the pot for a double-up.
In a heads-up pot on a board of 4♥6♣J♦A♣3♦, Adrian Mateos put Teun Mulder to the test by betting 554,000 with just a few chips behind.
Mulder, who had a stack of 475,000, mulled over a call and used two time banks before doing so. Mateos could only show king-high with K♦Q♦ as Mulder turned over J♥9♠ to win the pot with a pair of jacks.
At another table, Erik Seidel bet 100,000 on the river against Chris Hunichen with the board reading A♦J♣5♣Q♦9♥. Hunichen called and then mucked as the Poker Hall of Famer showed A♠9♣ for aces up.
Benjamin Grise raised from the hijack position to 30,000, and Pieter Aerts moved all in with only 70,000 from the button. Grise called.
Pieter Aerts: A♦A♣
Benjamin Grise: K♦7♠
The board ran safe for Aerts with 10♥2♠3♥4♣6♣, and a pair of aces was golden for Aerts.
Brian Rast was in the big blind and moved all in for 113,000 after facing a raise from Pavel Plesuv from the button for 24,000. Plesuv called with the greater stack.
Brian Rast: 9♠9♣
Pavel Plesuv: K♣3♣
The board ran out with 4♠7♠K♥7♦A♥, and two pair for Plesuv sent Rast to the rail.
Heads up to the flop of A♥6♣10♦ with 100,000 in the pot. Adam Hendrix led out from under the gun for 45,000 and was called by Charles Thomas in the hijack.
The action went check, check on the 10♠ turn for the players to see the K♥ peel off on the river.
Hendrix checked to Thomas, who fired off a river bet of 120,000. Hendrix thought for a while and tossed in the call, tabling Q♥Q♦ and catching Thomas at it with 3x2x.
