Li Eliminates Okamoto

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Shiina Okamoto
Shiina Okamoto

After taking a tumble from being one of the chip leading stack in the last level, to having just over ten big blinds, Shiina Okamoto opened to 270,000 from the hijack, leaving a single 5,000 chip behind.

Action folded around to Aobo Li who took some time to make a decision and kept looking at the clock as they were on a pay jump. With no all in action in sight, Li re-jammed for the exact same stack size, 275,000. When the dealer asked Okamoto "Did you call?", she responded "Not yet", and she waited for any other signs of all in action across the floor. Nothing was heard and Okamoto called off her last 5,000 and the players flipped their hands.

Shiina Okamoto: 44All in
Aobo Li: QQ

Li had Okamoto dominated and there was no sign of help for her on the JA8 flop, 5 turn or 3 river. Li got a full double up from the hand and Okamoto was left to leave the tournament in 36th place having narrowly missed the pay jump.

Fountoukidis Coolers Bogdanov

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Yulian Bogdanov was one of a number of players to hit the rail recently. He was already on a 8AK flop and in middle position, playing in a hand against Kimon Fountoukidis in the cutoff.

All the chips went in on the flop, with Bogdanov only just being covered by Fountoukidis.

Yulian Bogdanov: 88All in
Kimon Fountoukidis: AK

After the cards were flipped it looked like Bogdanov had the best of it with trip eights, Fountoukidis stood to watch the runout but quickly retook his seat after the A turn gave hive the better boat. There was no coming back for Bogdanov on the Q river, and he hit the rail with less than 40 players left in the tournament.

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Briant Alavez opened to 40,000 from the cutoff and Craig Mason on the button three-bet to 100,000. Shiina Okamoto in the small blind went into the tank and moved all-in for 800,000. Alavez quickly folded but Mason eventually threw a chip to call off his last 735,000.

Two hands later, she raised to 60,000 from the cutoff with only 5,000 behind. Loic Debregeas on the button, Flavien Guenan in the small blind and Keyavash Hemyari in the big blind all called.

After the blinds checked a flop of A72, Okamoto moved all-in. Debregeas raised to 40,000 and made Guenan fold, but Hemyari called.

Debregeas fired a second barrel to 50,000 on the Q turn and Hemyari check-folded.
