Despite holding the better hand, Taherpour stood up from his chair before the board was dealt, seemingly expecting the worst.

His instincts proved correct as the board ran out 2♣K♠7♥7♣5♣, pairing Miressi's king and improving him to two pair. Taherpour was eliminated, while Miressi collected the pot.

The flop came 3♠8♣8♠ and Taherpour led out, Leonard flat-called for the 2♦ to peel off on the turn. Taherpour bet again and Leonard called once more.

On the 9♠ river Taherpour led out once again and Leonard went into the tank briefly before he put in a two-bet. Taherpour thought for a while and released his hand to send the pot to Leonard with no showdown and leave Taherpour with about three big bets.

On the 10♦10♥Q♥ flop, Ngo led out, Sessler raised, and Ngo came back with a three-bet. Sessler called to see the turn.

Ngo kept the pressure on when the 7♠ hit the turn, and this time Sessler mucked his hand, awarding the pot to Ngo.

In the very next hand, action folded to Ngo on the button, who raised. Michael Lipner defended his big blind, and the two players went to the flop.

The dealer spread A♦5♦K♦, and Lipner check-raised Ngo’s continuation bet. Ngo called.

On the 9♣ turn, Lipner bet and Ngo raised. Lipner stuck around to see the 8♣ river, where he check-called another bet from Ngo.

Ngo tabled A♠8♥ for two pair, aces and eights, which was enough to scoop his second consecutive pot.
