Karabet Takes Down McLaughlin

Level 35 : Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Bennett McLaughlin raised to 1,000,000 in middle position. Karabet Keshishyan made the call from the cutoff. The rest of the table folded.

The flop hit 2AQ. McLaughlin bet 800,000. Keshishyan called.

That pattern repeated when the board paired with the A on the turn; that time it was for 1,700,000.

McLaughlin kept firing when the river brought the 3, shoving all in for 4,475,000 chips. Keshishyan didn't hesitate to call.

McLaughlin showed a pair of jacks JJ, but Keshishyan had AJ for trip aces and the win.

Zhou Survives Against Suzuki

Level 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Lin Zhou shipped it for 2,650,000 from the cutoff. Tomohiro Suzuki made the call out of the big blind to put Zhou at risk.

Lin Zhou: 99All in
Tomohiro Suzuki: A3

The flop brought an ace, but it also brought something for Zhou in a big way when it came AQ9 to give Zhou a set of nines.

The Q upgraded him to a full house, but Suzuki still had a path to victory with an ace or queen on the river.

That did not come to pass on the 4 river as Zhou lived to fight another day.

Bandiananthaiah Doubles Up

Level 34 : Blinds 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Frederic Maniez raised to 1,000,000 from early position before Nagaraju Bandiananthaiah went all-in from the next seat over for 2,500,000.

Maniez made the call as the cards were on their backs.

Nagaraju Bandiananthaiah: AKAll in
Frederic Maniez: A10

Bandiananthaiah was in prime position to double up, and the flop reinforced his position when it fanned out A2K to give him top two pair.

Maniez gained a marginal toe hold on the 10 turn, but that was quickly dispelled when the K river hit to give Bandiananthaiah the double-up.
