Johannes Straver in the cutoff opened to 45,000 and was called by Santhosh Suvarna on the button. Nick Petrangelo in the small blind three-bet to 220,000 and made Straver fold 10♣6♣, but Suvarna jammed for 815,000. Petrangelo snap-called.
Santhosh Suvarna: 9♠9♥
Nick Petrangelo: J♦J♣
After the 8♣2♠A♦ flop and the 3♠ turn, Suvarna was lucky enough to hit the 9♣ river to double up.
Alex Foxen raised to 45,000 in the hijack with 5♠5♦ and Daniel Negreanu defended in the big blind with Q♦10♥.
The flop came Q♣7♣6♠ and Negreanu check-called a bet of 40,000 from Foxen, bringing the 9♥ turn.
Negreanu checked again and Foxen fired out a bet of 160,000. Negreanu called and the river fell the 8♦ giving both players a straight.
Negreanu checked with the ten-high straight and Foxen bet 460,000 with the nine-high straight, leaving himself with just 5,000 back. Negreanu raised to put Foxen all in, who called off the rest of his stack only to see the bad news.
Action picked up on the flop of A♠J♦10♦ in a hand between Alexandros Theologis in middle position and Samuel Mullur in the hijack.
With 110,000 in the middle, Theologis checked with Q♦J♣ and Mullur bet 80,000 with K♠Q♥. Theologis made the call and the turn landed the 5♣.
Theologis check-called a bet of 230,000 from Mullur and the river fell the 10♥. Theologis checked for a third time and Mullur bet enough to put Theologis all in, who had 1,136,000 back.
Theologis went into the tank, eventually making the call, only to see the bad news that Mullur had flopped Broadway.
Sean Winter raised to 35,000 from under the gun and was called by Santhosh Suvarna on the button and Leon Sturm in the big blind.
The J♠2♦8♣ flop checked through, as did the 4♥ turn. On the 6♣ river, Sturm led out with a bet of 105,000, Winter called, and Suvarna folded.
Sturm mucked his cards and Winter showed K♥7♥ for king-high.
"I was so worried you were gonna over call," Winter said to Suvarna as he dragged in the pot.
Daniel Negreanu raised to 45,000 in the small blind and David Einhorn defended in the big blind.
The flop came 7♥9♣8♦, Negreanu bet 75,000 and Einhorn raised to 215,000. Negreanu then moved all in for 537,000 total, and Einhorn called.
Daniel Negreanu: K♠K♥
David Einhorn: 10♣9♦
Negreanu was ahead but Einhorn had plenty of outs with top pair and an open-ender.
Negreanu was able to fade the deck as the board ran out Q♦, A♥, earning him the double up.
Emilien Pitavy on the button opened to 25,000. Bernhard Binder in the small blind three-bet to 120,000, Johannes Straver in the big blind called while Pitavy folded.
Both Binder and Straver checked the 3♠Q♣J♣ flop leading to the 9♠ turn where Binder bet 225,000. Straver made the call.
Binder bet 115,000 on the 10♠ river but Straver raised to 1,050,000. With a little bit less than 700,000 behind, Binder went deep into the tank and eventually called with Q♠J♥ for two pair. Unfortunately for him, Straver had a flush with K♠J♠ so Binder was eliminated.
Ben Heath in early position raised to 25,000, then Jason Koon in the cutoff three-bet to 80,000. The button and the blinds folded but Heath called.
The dealer fanned a flop of 5♠10♠10♣ and Koon continued for 76,000. Heath check-called.
Koon fired a second barrel to 160,000 on the 8♠ turn. Heath check-called again and the A♣ landed on the river.
Heath with Q♦10♦ checked one more time and Koon decided to apply maximum pressure by moving almost all-in for 1,463,000. Heath went deep into the tank and ultimately folded his flopped trips. Koon only had 5♦4♦ for two pair.
Alex Foxen raised to 27,000 in early position with A♥K♠ and Aleksejs Ponakovs three-bet to 100,000 in the hijack holding A♣2♣. Foxen made the call.
The flop came 5♣3♦J♦ and Foxen check-called a bet of 86,000, bringing the K♥ turn.
Foxen checked again and Ponakovs bet 195,000, which Foxen called.
On the 4♠ river, Foxen checked once more and Ponakovs bet 650,000. Foxen quickly called and saw the bad news that Ponakovs had hit a wheel on the river.
Jason Koon raised to 29,000 in early position with A♥K♠ and Eelis Parssinen defended in the big blind with J♣9♠.
The flop came 2♦6♣3♣ and both players checked to the 8♣ turn, where Parssinen led out with a bet of 32,000. Koon called and the river fell the 4♠.
Parssinen fired out a bet of 140,000 and Koon thought for a moment before making the call with ace-high to scoop the pot.
Stephen Chidwick raised to 28,000 in the hijack with A♣10♣ and Alex Foxen three-bet to 100,000 in the cutoff with A♥5♥. Chidwick called.
The flop came Q♦5♠K♦ and Chidwick check-called a bet of 57,000 from Foxen, bringing the Q♣ turn.
Both players checked to the 7♥ river, where Chidwick slid out an overbet of 525,000. Foxen made the call and the pot was pushed his way.
