Think Long, Think Right

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On a completed board of 103AQQ, big blind Jake Liebeskind checked it over to Tyler Brown, who bet the pot of 15,200 from the cutoff.

Liebeskind went into the tank for several minutes, but eventually called. Brown showed KJ for a straight, but Liebeskind had rivered a flush with KKJJ10 to take the pot.

"You don't make it easy, buddy," Liebeskind told Brown as he raked in the chips.

Three ways to the 2J4 flop with around 7,000 already in the pot, Danny Chang checked from the small blind and Viktor Blom bet the pot from middle position. Marco Johnson called in the cutoff, while Chang folded.

Action went heads up to the Q turn, which checked through to see the A arrive on the river. Blom checked, and Johnson bet the pot.

Blom went into a rare tank before ultimately deciding a fold was best, surrendering the pot to Johnson.

Hirsh Hits River to Eliminate Harmetz

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Daniel Harmetz bet the pot of 33,600 on the 5QA9 turn from the big blind, leaving only 5,000 behind. Cutoff Daniel Hirsh called after some time in the tank, after which Terrance Reid gave up on the pot on the button.

Harmetz then committed his last chips on the J river, only to be snapped off by Hirsh. Harmetz announced two pair, but Hirsh had rivered the nuts with AKJ1010 to take his opponent out.

Not much later, Nick Schulman took the empty seat.

Eskenazi checked on the 34J flop, and Duran fired the pot. Eskenazi folded, and Duran showed AA432.

With about 33,000 in the pot on a board of 4J55, Jonathan Greene jammed for around 8,000 from the small blind and Yueqi Zhu called in the hijack. James Schafer then jammed from the button for 50,500, and Zhu called with the covering stack.

Jonathan Greene: AQ982 All in
James Schafer: A5544 All in
Yueqi Zhu: A8632

Schafer had the high locked up with unbeatable quad fives and asked the dealer for a high river card.

The dealer listened to Schafer's pleas and peeled off the Q to complete the board. Schafer nearly tripled up, Zhu was left short, and Greene headed to the rail.

Over at another table, Anderson Ireland was all in preflop for his last chips against Jeff Madsen.
