Bates Scoops the Lot

Level 22

Omaha Hi-Lo

Action was picked up on a flop of 9AJ. Action checked to Nikolai Fal on the button, who bet out. Big blind Richard Bremer check-raised, cutoff Donovan Bates called, before Fal put in a three-bet. Both other players called to see the 10 turn.

Here, action checked to Fal again. His bet got two callers, before all three players checked the 5 river.

Fal tabled AA for top set, but Bates showed 10987 for the low end of the straight to scoop.

Glendinning's Comeback Halted

Level 22

Stud Hi-Lo

After being left with just 5,000 chips from a prior hand, Glendinning had gotten it back to 100,000.

Jonathan Glendinning: XxXx / 23210 / Xx All in
Donovan Bates: XxXx / 55K3 / Xx
Nikolai Fal: XxXx / 45A9 / Xx

Glendinning open-completed as the low card, and he was called by Bates and Fal.

Glendinning bet on fourth and both his opponents check-called. Glendinning got his final 30,000 into the middle on fifth as Bates called, Fal raised, and Bates called.

Bates would check-call bets from Fal on sixth and seventh. Fal revealed 842 in the hole for an eight low, while Bates had AA4 for aces-up. Glendinning flashed 866, and his two pair was no good as his comeback came to an end.

Hyman Falls to Melancon

Level 22

Omaha Hi-Lo

Jared Hyman got his final 109,000 into the middle preflop from the cutoff, at risk against fellow short stack Joseph Melancon in the small blind.

Jared Hyman: AJ63 All in
Joseph Melancon: AA54

The 873 flop gave Hyman bottom pair but Melancon held the better low. The A turn improved Melancon to top set, and the 9 river gave him the nut flush, confirming the exit of Hyman who could not salvage half of the pot.

The Nikolai Show

Level 21

Stud Hi-Lo

Nikolai Fal: 7639/43J
Jonathan Glendinning: JQ710/JJ5

Nikolai Fal completed, Jonathan Glendinning made it two bets to go and Fal made the call.

Jonathan Glendinning had the best board from fourth through to seventh, and checked every street over to Fal. Once Fal started he didn't stop, as he bet out on fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh.

Glendinning called quickly on each street bar seventh, where he took some time, and laughed to himself. Eventually, he stuck in the call.

Fal tabled his flush, and Glendinning tabled his trips, letting the table know that it was the first time all tournament he'd been rolled up. He was left with less than a small bet behind. "The Nikolai show!" a tablemate noted, as Fal's stack continued to grow.

Buckley Makes a Wheel

Level 21

Stud Hi-Lo

Jared Hyman: XxXx / Q7K8 / Xx
DJ Buckley: XxXx / A543 / Xx

Action picked up on fifth after Buckley had bet fourth, getting called by Hyman but forcing out a third player.

Buckley would continue to lead each street, firing on fifth, sixth, and seventh. When he bet for a final time, Hyman announced, "I'm not folding my pair," and he flicked it in. However, he got the bad news as Buckley revealed AQ2 in the hole, making a wheel to scoop.

Galeano Can't Find Life

Level 21

Omaha Hi-Lo

Daniel Walmsley opened the action with a raise from early position. Jared Hyman made it three bets on his left, before Marc Galeano moved all in for less from the cutoff. Yueqi Zhu also called on the button.

Hyman bet at every opportunity when checked to, as the players arrived to the river on 79Q6K. Both Walmsley and Zhu called to the river, but Zhu folded on this street. Walmsley stuck in the call.

"Top set," announced Hyman, showing AKK5. Galeano's AJ53 was no good, and Walmsley mucked, telling the table he had AxQx3x2x. Zhu said he also had Ax2x.

Even Boards

Level 21

Stud Hi-Lo

Jonathan Nebbout: A1084/K25
Sean Yu: XxXx/6 ~ folded on third street
Stanislav Ivanov: A1083/475

Sean Yu brought in, Stanislav Ivanov raised and Jonathan Nebbout raised again. Yu folded and Ivanov called.

Despite their boards showing the same cards, Ivanov remained first to act through fifth street holding the ace of spades. He check-called bets from Nebbout on both streets before losing his right to act first on sixth.

Nebbout bet out on sixth street before calling a raise from Ivanov. He then check-called seventh, and showed ace-king high with an eight low. Ivanov's low had him pipped, but he was playing just ace-queen high as the two chopped the pot.

Jacks Enough for the Scoop Multiway

Level 21

Stud Hi-Lo

Donovan Bates: XxXx / 247Q / Xx
Nikolai Fal: XxXx / 6K54 / Xx
Eddie Blumenthal: XxXx / 45KQ / Xx

Action picked up on fourth as Nikolai Fal checked to Eddie Blumenthal who bet, and both opponents called.

The same occurred on fifth as Blumenthal bet again.

On sixth, it checked to Fal who bet, and both opponents stuck around again. Seventh street would then be checked through.

Blumenthal revealed A93 in the hole for just ace-high after a missed low draw. Bates tabled A1010 for a pair of tens, and Fal was able to showdown JJ3 in the hole for a lone pair of jacks, which was enough to scoop a huge one.
