Early Pots for Andreadis and Mermelstein

Level 26 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Brevin Andreadis raised the pot to 550,000 and Aaron Mermelstein defended the big blind to then check the KJ10 flop. Andreadis continued for 260,000 and won the pot.

Jeremy Druckman then limped the next hand from an early position and Mermelstein came along in the small blind, Levon Khachatryan checked in the big blind. The flop came K64 and it was checked to Druckman, who bet 225,000. Mermelstein then check-raised to 1,000,000 and forced two folds.

Three-Way Action Leads to Largest Pot in High Stakes Poker History for $2.4 Million

Level 26 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Santhosh Suvarna
Santhosh Suvarna

Alan Keating won a record $1.4 million pot last year on High Stakes Poker. But that hand, despite being worth more than most Americans make in a dozen years, pales in comparison to a three-way pot during Season 16.

The first eight of 11 episodes of the new season are available right now exclusively on PokerGO. There are many High Stakes Poker veterans such as Jennifer Tilly, Andrew Robl, and Justin Gavri mixed among recreational players like comedian Kevin Hart. And there's even a recent World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner in the mix — Santhosh Suvarna.

Santhosh took down the $50,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold'em for $1,992,870 on June 11, and then lost back $1.1 million of it the next day in Hustler Casino Live's Million Dollar Game at the WSOP. But he was in a strong position to win a pot worth far more than his MDG losses during Episode 6 of HSP.

Delayed Reporting

Level 26 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

The WSOP has moved the final table to the streamed featured tables area, which means our live reporting will have to be delayed by around 2.5 hours to match the live stream, per the WSOP media guidelines.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Dinner Break

Level 26 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

The remaining nine players have agreed to take their 60-minute dinner break now while the final table is set up. Action should resume around 7:15 p.m. local time.

Chongxian Yang Eliminated in 11th Place; Barrett Threadgill Eliminated in 10th Place ($123,972 each)

Barrett Threadgill raised to 500,000 from the hijack and Chongxian Yang then moved all-in for his last 575,000 in the cutoff. Eelis Parssinen in the small blind called and so did Threadgill as they headed to the 873 flop.

Once Parssinen checked, Threadgill moved all-in as he only had 2,035,000 with the pot worth 2,075,000 by then. Parssinen made the call after a few seconds of consideration to put two players at risk.

Chongxian Yang: AK54 All in
Barrett Threadgill: AQQ8 All in
Eelis Parssinen: KJ109

Parssinen had plenty of outs to make a straight while Threadgill was liking the 2 turn to add a flush draw. Yang was not drawing dead yet either as he picked up a wheel draw. The river then brought the 10 and that gave Parssinen the nut straight to send two opponents to the rail.

The remaining nine players will now redraw to the unofficial final table and move their chips to the live streaming area.

Costanzo Takes Another

Level 26 : Blinds 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Matthew Costanzo limped in from the small blind, before calling when Eelis Parssinen raised to 450,000 in the big blind.

Both players checked the J75 flop, and the dealer added the 5 turn to the board.

Costanzo took the initiative, leading out for 600,000. That was enough to claim the pot, as Parssinen returned his cards to the dealer.

Costanzo Double Dents Gryko's Stack

Matthew Costanzo opened to 500,000 in the hijack and Richard Gryko three-bet the pot to 1,750,000 on the button. When both blinds had folded, Costanzo opted to call for essentially half of his stack.

The flop came Q73 and Costanzo pushed all in for 1,665,000. Gryko asked how much was in the pot and how much the all-in was for before he reluctantly called.

Matthew Costanzo: KQJ10 All in
Richard Gryko: AKJ9

The 9 turn and 8 river runout gave Costanzo the nut straight and he pulled ahead of Gryko on the leaderboard.
