The 10♦ turn then checked through to the 8♠ river, where Couden tossed in a bet again. Taylor folded, conceding the pot.

On the next deal, Couden raised his small blind, and Kazuhiro Shirasawa defended his big blind. Couden triple-barreled on the J♣10♠5♠2♥3♣ runout, with Shirasawa calling to showdown.

Couden tabled 10♣8♦ for a pair of tens, but Shirasawa had him outkicked with Q♥10♦ to be awarded the chips.
