Fortunate River for Arieh

Level 23

Limit Hold'em

Josh Arieh raised from the small blind and Calvin Anderson defended his big blind.

The 653 flop checked through to the K turn which saw Arieh check again. Anderson bet, Arieh raised, and Anderson called.

On the A river, Arieh led a final time, sending Anderson into a small tank. He eventually slammed calling chips into the middle, only to be shown the A7 of Arieh, who was bluffing with a gutter and diamond but rivered top pair. Anderson scoffed at his bad luck, indicating that a non-diamond ace or four were Arieh's only outs.

Josh Arieh

Seven Card Stud

Nicolas Milgrom: XxXx / 8365 - folded on sixth street
John Veltri: XxXx / AK49 / Xx
Josh Arieh: XxXx / 10Q710 / Xx

Prior to the hand, Arieh had won two consecutive Stud pots, taking down both on fifth street uncontested.

Veltri completed from early position, and he was called by Arieh and Milgrom. Veltri would lead on fourth and both opponents called.

The madness began on fifth as Veltri led, Arieh raised, Milgrom three-bet, Veltri made it four bets, Arieh capped it, which Milgrom called after a small tank and Veltri came along too.

Arieh made open tens on sixth and led. Milgrom painfully folded leaving himself just 350,000 behind, and Veltri called.

Arieh checked seventh to Veltri who peeled his final card before slamming the table to indicate a check as he flung his cards across the table. Arieh tabled QQ3 in the hole for a full house, queens full of tens, to win the largest pot of the day.

"That was so fun, guys," Arieh joked as he raked in the pot, "Didn't you guys enjoy that?"
