Hoefer Wins a Crucial Flip vs Tang

Danny Tang raised from the hijack, and Paul Hoefer three-bet the cutoff to around 180,000. Tang four-bet jammed with the covering stack, and Hoefer called for his stack of around 600,000.

It was a flip that Hoefer came out on top of with his pocket jacks, as the board ran out K84106.

Tang was left with just a few big blinds, but he managed to find a double-up the very next hand at the expense of Christopher Vitch.

Miscikowski Drills the River to Send Weng to the Rail

Heads up to the flop of 4Q9 with 300,000 in the pot.

David Miscikowski led out for 200,000 from the small blind and Zheyu Weng called from the hijack.

On the 3 turn Miscikowski bet out for 800,000 which was almost enough to put Weng all in. Weng went into the tank hoping for a pay jump and the clock was called, just before expiry he made the call leaving himself just 15,000 behind.

Miscikowski bet in the dark prior to the 8 river being flipped over and Weng went back into the tank. The clock was called once more and with one second remaining Weng dropped in his last 15,000 and flipped over his AA. Miscikowski tabled J10 for a rivered straight to sent Weng to the rail in a brutal fashion.

Zhu Stacks De Souza and Zlotnikov

Anatoly Zlotnikov and Belarmino De Souza were already stood from the table after getting in their remaining big blinds against Ying Zhu.

There was already a huge pot of around 800,000 and De Souza had moved all in for his last 205,000 on the river. He was covered by Zhu in the small blind and Zlotnikov was already at risk with no chips infront of him.

The QQ4106 runout saw Zhu knock out both players with the flush, and take the chip lead early in the day. Zlotnikov was walking from the table and remarked "Never play pocket jacks in your life".

Elyashiv and Bergh Bust; Loeliger Hits Two Milly

Level 22 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Johannes Straver raised to 60,000 from under the gun, and Eliyahu Elyashiv three-bet to 500,000 from the cutoff, leaving himself with just 100,000 behind. Paulina Loeliger four-bet with the covering stack, and Straver folded. Elyashiv called off his remaining chips, and the cards were revealed.

Elyashiv was ahead with pocket kings, but Elyashiv picked up a flush draw on the 6JJ flop.

Elyashiv didn't find any more help on the 6 turn or Q river, and he became the next casualty of the tournament.

At the same time, Joseph Bergh was seen leaving the tournament area as Faraz Jaka pulled in the last of his chips and increased his stack to more than 1,300,000.

Elyashiv Doubles Through Lykov

Maxim Lykov opened to 75,000 in hijack and Eliyahu Elyashiv in the big blind called.

The dealer fanned out 5Q6. After action was checked to him, Lykov continued with 500,000 which covered what Elyashiv had behind. With 285,000 left behind, Elyashiv went into the tank. After a few seconds he made the call.

Elyashiv hit a pair on the board while Lykov needed one of his over cards to appear for a chance to eliminate. The dealer peeled a 10 turn, giving Lykov more outs with a straight draw.

Elyashiv secured a double up when the 3 fell on the river.

Schulman Slides Out

Weissman continued with 100,000 and Konnikova called.
