In the previous hands, Horacio Chaves had been bleeding chips to his tablemates, dropping back to a little over two million in chips. Nearly all of those went in on the latest hand.

It was Daniel Strelitz who opened the action on the button, followed by a three-bet from Chaves in the small blind. Chaves patted from the start, betting after the first and second draw. Strelitz took two on the first draw, one on the second draw, and one on the final draw.

After the final draw, Chaves checked and Strelitz checked behind, flashing the Jx. Chaves showed 9x6x5x4x2x for a near double-up with his pat nine.

Horacio Chaves opened from the button, and small blind Michelle Chin three-bet from the small. Chaves called, and each player opted to draw two cards. Chin slowed down with a check, and called Chaves' bet.

She picked up two yet again, whereas Chaves opted to stand pat. She check-called for a second time, as the players went to the final draw.

This time Chin only wanted one card, and Chaves stood pat again. He bet out when checked to, and Chin went into the tank. She sighed to herself, and flicked in a call. Chaves tabled 8x7x4x3x2x and was celebrating before Chin's cards left her hand.

Michelle Chin raised on the button and got both blinds, Daniel Strelitz and Horacio Chaves, along for the ride. Each player drew two on the first draw and Chin bet, picking up two callers.

On the second draw, Strelitz drew two, Chaves drew two, and Chin stood pat. That prompted two quick checks from the men and an equally speedy bet from Chin. Strelitz folded but Chaves called.

The final draw saw Chaves exchange one more card while Chin remained pat. Chaves checked, Chin bet, and Chaves called after some thought with 9x7x6x5x2x. Chin had a pair with 5x5x8x7x2x and Chaves dragged the pot.

Next, he won a small pot against Daniel Strelitz to further cement his lead.

Both players stood pat on the final draw, and Strelitz checked. Chin bet out, and Strelitz asked, "really?" as he stuck in the call.

"Wheel," Chin announced, showing 7x5x4x3x2x for number one. Strelitz mucked in frustration.

After winning the first hand, Horacio Chaves has been tumbling back down on the leaderboard including losses in back-to-back hands.

In the first hand, he raised the button and Daniel Strelitz defended the big blind. Both took two apiece and Strelitz bet. Chaves raised and Strelitz called.

Each player changed one card on the second draw and Strelitz came out betting again. Chaves called and both players stood pat. Strelitz bet a third time and Chaves quickly flicked in a call.

Strelitz showed eight perfect 8x5x4x3x2x, Chaves shook his head and flashed a rough eight 8x7x5x4x3x.

In the subsequent hand, Chaves was in a three-bet pot against Michelle Chin. Drawing two cards each on the first and second draw, it was Chin who bet and Chaves who called.

On the final draw, both players drew one card and Chaves checked. Chin bet and Chaves started studying her intensely. Chin, meanwhile, stared solemnly in front of her. After a minute, Chaves opted to fold.
