Strelitz Finds Value With Nine

Michelle Chin raised on the button, and called a three-bet from small blind player Daniel Strelitz.

Strelitz took one and Chin took three, prompting Strelitz to bet out without looking at his drawn card. Chin called, and Strelitz did the same thing again, after he drew one and Chin took two.

Chin called, bringing the players to a final draw where they each took one. Strelitz bet out for a third time, and Chin sigh called. He tabled 9x6x5x4x3x and Chin mucked.

Chaves Refueled After Dinner

Horacio Chaves raised the small blind, and called a three-bet from big blind Michelle Chin.

Both players drew one, and action checked through, prompting them both to draw one for a second time.

Chaves checked again, and went into the tank following a bet from Chin. Eventually, he made the call and drew one. Chin stood pat.

Chaves took a look at his new card, and opted to bet. Chin had a long hard think, and stared her opponent down. Eventually, she released her cards.

"That's a good fold, Michelle!" her rail let her know.

Jamie Gold Making Deep Run in Veteran Father's Honor at WSOP Salute to Warriors

Gold, whose $12 million Main Event payday remains the second-largest in WSOP history, sits among the chip leaders with just 80 players remaining from 4,478 entries in the annual WSOP $500 SALUTE to Warriors event. This year's tournament will donate more than $180,000 to the USO, which supports the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.

"My dad was in the service, so I always like to play this Salute to Warriors event," the former world champion explained. "It's never easy with 4,500 entries. I'll be happy if I just make the final table, and then of course I'll feel like I have to win it! One goal at a time."

On the second draw, both players drew one apiece. Pupillo checked and called a bet from Strelitz.

Pupillo drew one on the final draw and Strelitz rapped pat. Pupillo called a final bet from Strelitz, leaving just 215,000 behind.

Strelitz showed him the bad news with a number two 7x6x4x3x2x to leave Pupillo with dust.
