Final Break

The remaining 19 players have been sent on a 15-minute break.

Day 2 will end after two more levels have been played following the break.

Ten Good in Four-Bet Pot

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Daniel Strelitz raised under the gun, and David May made it three bets to go as second to act. Button player Sean Troha, on May's left, then opted for a four-bet. Strelitz folded, and May called.

May drew two, then check-called a bet from Troha who drew one. Both players drew the same number of cards on the following draw, and action checked through.

May then drew two for a third time, and Troha stood pat. It went check-check, and May shrugged, showing KxQx. Troha dragged in the pot with 10x6x5x4x2x

Isaia Leaves Neves With Crumbs; Dunn Dusted

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Pedro Neves raised on the button and Alessio Isaia defended his big blind.

Both players drew two on the first draw and then Isaia check-called a bet from Neves.

On the second draw, Isaia drew two again and Neves stood pat. Isaia again check-called a bet.

Isaia drew one and Neves remained pat on the final draw. However, this time Isaia led out for a bet and Neves called.

Isaia fanned out 8x7x4x3x2x and Neves mucked — leaving him with just 30,000 behind.

At another table, Tara Dunn was eliminated.

Too Good a Price for Moulder

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Patrick Moulder
Patrick Moulder

Patrick Moulder raised in the cutoff, leaving himself just a single 5,000 chip behind. Both Sean Troha and Horacio Chaves defended their blinds.

Troha drew two, Chaves three, and Moulder one. Action checked through, and did the same after the second draw, where both blinds drew two and Moulder took one.

On the third draw, each player opted on drawing one card. First to act Troha bet out, Chaves folded and Moulder tossed in his final chip with a sigh.

Troha tabled 8x7x5x4x3x and Moulder left the tournament area, briefly showing a king-eight low.

Sandberg Shows Pupillo a Seven

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Michael Rodrigues raised from the cutoff and was three-bet by Nick Pupillo on the button. Evan Sandberg called cold from the small blind and Rodrigues called as well for a bloated three-way pot.

Sandberg and Rodrigues drew one, while Pupillo drew two on the first draw. Action then checked through.

On the second draw, everyone drew one and action checked through again.

Sandberg stood pat, and both Rodrigues and Pupillo drew one on the final draw. Sandberg then bet, which got a fold from Rodrigues and a call from Pupillo.

Sandberg tabled 7x6x5x3x2x and Pupillo mucked his cards upon seeing it.

At another table, Scott Milkey was eliminated.

Nobody Likes to Fold to Avina

David Avina

David Avina raised from the hijack and was called by Michelle Chin in the big blind.

Chin drew two and Avina drew one on the first draw. Chin then check-called a bet from Avina.

On the second draw, Chin drew two and Avina stood pat. Chin checked again and Avina bet again, sending Chin into the tank.

"I get it, nobody likes to fold me," Avina said to Chin.

"Yeah, it's hard!" Chin replied. This time, however, she eventually let her hand go and Avina was sent the pot.

"I had a nine," Avina said as he collected the pot.

Hogan Triples; Stann Busts

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Pedro Neves
Pedro Neves

A five-bet pre-draw pot was being contested between small blind Douglas Hogan, under the gun Dave Stann, and Pedro Neves on his direct left.

Once the bet was capped, Hogan and Stann both drew one, with Neves taking two. Action checked through, and each player took the same number of cards.

After the second draw, Hogan moved all in for his final 20,000. Stann then raised to 45,000, and Neves raised again, putting Stann all in. Stann put in the call.

Hogan stood pat with 8x7x6x5x3x, which became the hand to beat. Stann and Neves had both thrown away one card.

Neves was first to peel, as the covering stack, and his 7x4x3x2x was joined by an ace. Stann was drawing smooth, and had outs to scoop. He told the table he had thrown away a six, and couldn't believe it as he peeled the 6 to lose both the main and the side pot.

Eight Smooth for Isaia

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Jeffrey Vaughn raised from the hijack, and was called by Dave Stann in the cutoff and Alessio Isaia in the big blind.

Everyone drew two on the first draw and Isaia led out for a bet. Vaughn called, but Stann raised, and both Isaia and Vaughn called.

On the second draw, everyone drew one and action checked through.

Everyone drew one again on the final draw and Isaia went back to betting. Vaughn folded, but Stann looked up Isaia, who fanned out 8x6x4x3x2x. Stann sent his cards into the muck and Isaia collected the pot.

Fitzhugh Breaks at The Wrong Time

Level 23 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Scott Fitzhugh was ready for his chip and a chair comeback story, pushing in his final 5,000 from the button. David Avina limped in from the small blind, and Nick Pupillo checked his option from the big.

Fitzhugh "quite liked his chances" upon seeing both of his opponents draw three, as he requested a sole card from the dealer.

Action then checked through, and Avina downsized to just one card. Pupillo stuck with three, and Fitzhugh stuck with one. Avina then bet, which folded out Pupillo.

Both players drew one, and each tabled the same draw, with 8x7x6x3x. It was a 50/50, and Fitzhugh was regretting breaking his ten, showing that he got rid of the 10. Avino drew a jack, and Fitzhugh paired his six, spelling the end of his run.
