Monnette Draws Two to a Winner

Level 1

No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw

Alexander Kostritsyn opened to 4,000 under the gun, and was called by no less than four players, as Scott Seiver to his left, John Monnette in the cutoff, Jesse Lonis in the small blind, and Dan Cates in the big blind all came along.

Everybody drew one card, except for Monnette who took two.

It checked to Seiver who bet 18,000. Monnette called quickly, and the others folded.

"Pair," Seiver announced as Monnette tabled 8x7x6x4x2x, and he collected the pot.

Locked In Liberto; Rast Chips Up

Level 1

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better

Brian Rast: XxXx / QK5K / Xx
Dara Taherpour: XxXx / 8K94x / Xx

Brian Rast completed and then called a raise by Dara Taherpour. On fourth street, Rast bet for Taherpour to call before they checked on fifth street. Rast bet again sixth when he paired the king and Taherpour stuck around to the final street on which he then folded to another bet.

The floor arrived to high-card a player to a new table that was about to open right next to them and Chad Eveslage grimaced "I hope it is you Justin, you are way too locked in". It was however not Justin Liberto that got moved but instead Alexander Kostritsyn.

"It's Too Early For the Bullsh**, Jungle"

Level 1

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Dan Cates raised to 4,000 in the hijack and Dave Rogers called in the big blind. Rogers drew two and Cates, who is uncharacteristically out of character, took his time before drawing one, leading Jesse Lonis and Scott Seiver to playfull tell him to hurry up.

"It's too early for the bullsh**, Jungle," said Lonis. "Later when you're in costume, you can start doing that."

Rogers and Cates both checked and Jungle showed a queen with Qx9x8x7x3x to win the pot.

Leonard Loses Two Pots

Level 1

Limit Hold’em

Patrick Leonard check-called a bet by Esther Taylor on the A82 flop and did so again on the 5 turn. The 10 on the river brought the third check in a row by Leonard and Taylor's bet took it down uncontested.

No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw

The game then chanced and Leonard received a walk, exposing the AA.

One hand later, Naoya Kihara raised to 4,500 and Leonard called in the small blind. Both discarded one and Leonard checked, Kihara bet 7,000 and won the pot uncontested.

Negreanu Raises the River

Level 1

No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu opened to 4,000 second-to-act and Scott Seiver flatted in the small blind. In the big blind, Joao Vieira squeezed to 20,000, and only Negreanu called.

Both the Q32 flop and the 4 turn would check through, albeit slowly.

Some chips finally went in on the 8 river, as Vieira led for 17,000. Negreanu then announced a raise to 65,000, and Vieira laid it down after a minute's tank.

2-7 Triple Draw

Scott Seiver raised on the button and Joao Vieira three-bet in the small blind. Chris Brewer called in the big blind and Seiver also called, with each player drawing two.

Vieira and Brewer checked after the first draw and Seiver bet. Vieira check-raised, leading Brewer to fold and Seiver to call. Vieira drew one and Seiver stood pat.

Vieira checked after the second draw and called a bet from Seiver, who stood pat as Vieira again drew one.

Vieira checked once more after the third draw and Seiver bet. Vieira took some time and called before Seiver announced a ten and showed 10x9x7x5x4x.
