Barracano's Turn Bet Takes Down the Pot

Nancy Birnbaum bumped it up to 40,000 from middle position with Istvan Toro and Lionel Barracano calling from the blinds.

All three players checked the 7K6 flop, with the 8 joining on the turn. Toro checked once more, but Barracano fired for 100,000. Birnbaum thought for a while before folding, and Toro quickly tossed his cards away, allowing Barracano to drag in the pot.

Semsettin Ilyas opened from middle position to 40,000. He got called by Frank Connelly on the button and Donald Briggs in the big blind. The dealer showed the flop of JJA.

All three players checked to see the turn K. Briggs put 65,000 in front of him and got called by Semsettin, while Connelly decided to move away.

On the 4 river, both players checked to the showdown. Briggs turned over AQ followed by Semsettin's AQ. Briggs collected the pot as he won with a backdoor diamond flush.

Tai Ta, who started the day with just 10,000, committed those chips when he was under the gun. Frank Jacobson completed from the small blind and Rickey McColley checked his option in the big blind.

With only a small side pot to play for, Jacobson and McColley checked the 7K492 runout all the way down before tabling their hands.

Jacobson showed a pair of sevens with J7, while McColley revealed 53 for five-high. Ta then rolled over 1010 for a pair of tens, quintupling his stack.
