Garza Turns A Straight Flush

Level 16 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Lou "AP" Garza raised to 45,000 from the cutoff to see Shalev Halfa on the button, Maurice Hawkins in the small blind, and Dan Smith in the big blind all call.

The flop rolled out 1075 and action checked around to Garza who bet 80,000 to see only Halfa call.

Both players checked the 6 turn to the river 5 where Garza bet 335,000 to see Halfa call.

Garza tabled A987 for a ten-high straight flush and he raked in a sizable pot to climb over three million.

"How tilting was it for you that you had the ace of spades in your hand?" asked table mate Scott Seiver.

"This tournament is, how do you super pros say it?" Garza joked with his table after the hand "Good value!"

"You're the super pro," replied Seiver.

Flush on Board

Level 16 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Chance Kornuth raised to 35,000 in early position, and Dominykas Karmazinas called in the big blind.

Karmazinas check-called a continuation bet of 20,000 on a monotone 3K10 flop, before the 7 turn checked through.

The A river put a fifth heart on the board, and Karmazinas led out for 100,000. Kornuth gave it some thought, but ultimately chose to fold.

Action was caught on a flop of 725 with 95,000 in the middle. Mike Moncek had gotten his final 149,000 into the middle against the covering stack of Dylan Linde in the cutoff.

Mike Moncek: K5 All in
Dylan Linde: A9

The J turn was very safe for Moncek, but its counterpart turned up on the river, with the J ending his tournament on the soft bubble.

Biao Ding
Biao Ding

Pot-Limit Omaha

Edward Leonard opened to 55,000 on the button, which only Biao Ding called in the small blind.

Both players checked on the 874 flop, prompting Ding to take over the betting lead on the 8 turn. He put 50,000 into the middle, which Leonard called.

The K completed the board, and Ding reverted to checking. Leonard responded by putting in his own bet, sliding 240,000 into the pot.

Ding gave it serious consideration, but after utilizing a couple of time extensions, he elected to fold.

The Spin Continues for Maksimov

Level 16 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Artem Maksimov raised to 35,000 from middle position, and Robert Cowen, who was sat on his left, potted to 130,000. Action folded to Maksimov who moved all in, and Cowen snap-called.

Robert Cowen: KQQ10 All in
Artem Maksimov: AA42

The 75K flop gave Cowen some extra outs, and he picked up a gutshot, too, on the 9 turn. Unfortunately for him, the 9 river improved his opponent to aces up, and he busted in his preferred variant.

Maksimov now has almost twenty times the stack he did mere minutes ago.

Pot-Limit Omaha

Kane Kalas limped from under the gun to see Chad Eveslage on the button and Michael Moncek in the small blind do the same. Dylan Weisman in the big blind checked his option.

The flop rolled out A109 and action checked around to Kalas who bet 26,000 and action folded back to Weisman.

"84 [thousand]," said Weisman as he raised to the said amount. Kalas thought for a few seconds before deciding to call.

Weisman checked the turn 3 over to Kalas who bet 124,000 and Weisman pitched his hand away.

Take Your Chips Back

Level 15 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Dan Shak limped in from the hijack, and Artem Maksimov made it 54,000 on the button. Tom Vogelsang three-bet to 180,000 in the big blind, which received a fold from Shak, but Maksimov called.

Vogelsang put Maksimov all in for his remaining 181,000 on a 107Q flop, and Maksimov called.

Artem Maksimov: KQ109 All in
Tom Vogelsang: KKQ10

Both players had flopped top two pair, and when the 2 turn and 5 river left both players unimproved, they chopped the pot.
